Check Out D’angelo Brackeen’s Story

Today we’re excited to be connecting with D’angelo Brackeen again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

D’angelo , thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
My name is D’Angelo! I am now 28 years old..The last time I was interviewed, I went into artistry for music during college, which was some years ago, around 2020 or 2021. Currently I work a great job as a patrol officer, and compete in bodybuilding and powerlifting full time as well. I plan to make that my full time job for my career soon, once I go pro. What sets me apart is my resilience towards any situation.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Well..since our last interview, I dropped out and took a chance to go into fitness/competing 100%. I’ve given my life completely to God since then and have followed his plan for me. Some of the highest points of my journey thus far have been achieving multiple world championship medals from powerlifting, in Vegas, in the WABDL Federation, to winning my class in bodybuilding for, classic physique, to go to nationals!

Alright, so let’s do something a bit more fast-paced and lighthearted. We call this our lightning round and we’ll ask you a few quick questions.

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
When it comes to making tough choices, I try to prioritize how those decisions will affect me or those around me. Knowing how to balance the two and realize what’s best for you at the end of the day will take you a long way. It took me a long time to put myself first, for my own benefit, but I can say that ever since I did, life has been tough, but a lot happier because I’m not doing something to please others. Assess the situation, and have the tough conversations.
