Check Out D’dreanna Hogan’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to D’dreanna Hogan.

Hi D’dreanna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I always knew I wanted to be my own boss but never did I think I’d be doing so in the pmu or esthetics industry. I’ve always had a hobby of grooming my own brows growing up. One day I came across an Instagram page for Ombré Powder Brows (micro-shading) and thought, Wow! I watched and researched the technique for two years before finally taking the leap of faith to become a certified artist. It took me so long to do a class because I wanted to be sure I was training with a good quality instructor. It’s not always easy, that’s for sure, but anything you want to be great at takes hard work & most of all practice. Using social media & word of mouth has helped me gain some of the best & most wonderful clientele. It’s a really good feeling to help others enhance their beauty & self confidence.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all. Let me tell you, at times I’ve second-guessed if this was actually for me. Then, I remember why I started in the first place. At times I refer back to some of the women who have reach out to me for advice or pointers because they too want to offer the service or have trained with someone and still seek guidance. The fact they’d even  take into consideration to reach out to me is a joyous & encouraging feeling to keep going and getting  better. I’ve been blessed to experience some the the most wonderful clients. Their compliments and words of encouragement at times have helped me in so many ways they have no idea. One of my biggest struggles has been stepping out of my comfort zone with social media. Now days you must create reels and interact with the audience instead of posting pics so your not shadow banned and stay relevant . I’m somewhat of an introvert and very personal person and am learning to have fun with it all and open up more.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a licensed esthetician & certified brow artist specializing in Ombré Powder Brows, also known as micro-shading. This semi-permanent brow technique last anywhere from 1-3 years or longer pending skin type, lifestyle & upkeep. I have also expanded into offering brow tint, lamination, tooth gems & facials. I am most proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone & chasing my dreams. As a full-time mom of two boys (ages 2 & 9) & working full time, I would often put my dreams & ambitions on the back burner. Recently, I decided to take the leap of faith and scaled back on my regular 9-5 to attend school full time this year to achieve my esthetician license & take on being a brow artist & esthetician full time. I’m happy to say I am most proud of myself for believing in & taking a chance on me, especially since it has has not been the easiest or most convenient thing to do. We only have one life & should live it to the fullest.
What matters most to you? Why?
My clients having good healed results and being satisfied matters most to me. It is an unmatchable feeling to know when someone leaves me they look & or feel better than they were before meeting me. I feel like as an artist, we are chosen by our clients, they are putting their trust in us to provide them with the results they looking for. If my client is not satisfied, I am not satisfied. I want to leave my mark in the best way possible with good quality work & customer service. When people hear my business name  I want positive things to be related. I feel this is what brings repeat clients & new clients by word of mouth & show of work.
