Diana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello my name is Diana Oviedo -Lopez started beauty school after high school I was 19 yrs old started working doing hair since I was 21 yrs old … been doing hair for about 23 yrs now I have always been self employed I always have had my own hair salon or rented a chair or suite love doing hair since I was 12 yrs old it always been my passion …

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being self employed has good things and bad things.. a lot of hard work long hours and dedication to be where I’m now.., when I started doing hair it was hard but now it’s smooth I get to choose how may hours per week and how may clients I wanna take per day I get as much or as little free time as I want.. so that’s great

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a hairstylist for 23 yrs and I specialize in hair color/highlights and women hair cuts I’m proud and blessed to do this job I love what i do every day … what set me me apart I’m a hard working Hispanic bilingual with this passion of making women beautiful every day

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory would be that I had a happy childhood always having my dad by myself .. always been daddy’s little girl
