Check Out Elizabeth Greer’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Greer

Hi Elizabeth, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I was surrounded by ambition and hard work. My father and siblings are entrepreneurs, and my grandfather was an executive in a major oil and gas company. This strong family legacy inspired my desire to own my own business. When I discovered speech therapy and private practice, it felt like the perfect fit, allowing me to combine my passion for helping others with my entrepreneurial spirit. I’ve always believed that the sky’s the limit, and I’m committed to chasing my dreams every step of the way.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building a business is undeniably expensive, stressful, and time-consuming. It demands significant sacrifice and humility. However, securing your first customer or patient serves as a powerful motivator, driving you to keep building and persevering.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a certified speech-language pathologist specializing in pediatric care, focusing on functional therapy to help children communicate effectively in their environments. My team consists of skilled and dedicated therapists who are both passionate and efficient. Additionally, our bilingual therapists cater to the diverse communities of the DFW area, ensuring that all children receive the support they need.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
When starting a business, preparation is key. Instead of seeing setbacks as failures, view them as stepping stones that bring you closer to your goals. Just take the plunge—you won’t regret it. As you build your team, prioritize in-person interviews, be selective, and invest in mentoring those who work with you.
