Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Payne.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I launched my coaching business in 2018. At that time, I also had a career in engineering management. Over the next few years, I balanced both. Engineering by day and coaching, collaborating, podcasting, writing, and creating by night. In 2020, I closed the engineering chapter after 15 years of adventure and fully immersed myself in entrepreneur life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A smooth road? Ha! There has been a TON of growth and even more so, evolution. Choosing to live a life of alignment with your highest values, your vision, your DESTINY, will stretch you beyond anything you can imagine. You will meet your edge again and again. Life and the divine will ask you to go deeper as long as you are willing…and sometimes, maybe even most of the time, dare I say, that doesn’t feel smooth. But I didn’t choose this path because I thought it would be smooth or comfortable.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an empowerment coach and most people follow up with “what the heck is that, E?”
Most people are actually unplugged from their power and they don’t realize it. I was myself for 30 years.
To plug into your power is to have awareness of your backpack. Your backpack holds your beliefs, your emotions, your memories, your expectations, your limitations. All of this added up is creating the reality that you experience day to day.
Once you step in to awareness of all of THAT, the game changes.
That is where I come in.
Empowering people by bringing awareness to their backpack contents first and then, most importantly, giving them the tools to take things out and put new things in.
My soul came here this time around to have a very deep, profound journey. To access and experience immense amount of light is to have the duality of dancing with the darkness. One thing I say often and I’ve said it for YEARS: the vision inside of you is for you. It is easy to say but a totally different animal to fully embody that truth. I am proud of myself for holding the vision.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice for both of these is to follow YOUR highest excitement. It is easy to get sucked in to what you should do or what everyone else is doing but that isn’t the vibe because you are UNIQUE.
I hired my first coach in February 2014. That was an epic turning point for me. It actually changed the trajectory of my life. The perfect people will come into your life at the perfect time and looking back along my journey, I can see that this was true every time.
