Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregg Montgomery.
Hi gregg, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I was in high school, my granddad called me to his room to come cut his hair and at the time I didn’t know how to cut hair and also I didn’t know that he knew how to cut hair but from that point on every Two weeks or so I would cut his hair And with every stroke of the Clipper, He would give me directions on what i was doing , just off the feel of the clipper on his head he knew if i was doing it right or wrong. It wasn’t till after he passed the the idea fully sparked of me pursuing barbering , it started feeling as though he knew something about me i didn’t know and he wanted to be sure i got it before he went on to glory.
I got licensed in 2017 , i have worked hair shows and taught classes across the country , worked with hair companies and so much more all because JL ingram asked me to cut his one day if he was still still here i would simply want to tell him. Thank You
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
when i first got into barbering it was hard for me to land to find the right shop to work in , i worked in about 4 shops in a short amount of time. my time ended at each for multiple reasons but luckily i was able to land at faded blue lounge with eddie pannell , under his leadership i was able to fully understand what it ment to be a barber. i was able to get the knowledge an experience need to build a legitimate barbering career. Mr Eddie is a good honest man and never told me no lies he allowed to copy everything he did an use it in my own way and even though i no longer work there i still today use things Mr eddie taught me.

I am baber and i am proud of the fact that i am able to service any one from young to old , any color or background i have a grooming experience waiting for them
