Check Out Greysen Conley’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greysen Conley.

Greysen Conley

Hi Greysen, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I was 8 years old when I started acting. My mom works for a children’s hospital. One day, one of her acquaintances from the hospital invited us to her house for dinner. Her husband does photography, and he had offered to take pictures of me. He is a great photographer. He then suggested to my mom that she should look into acting/modeling for me. A few weeks later, my mom had run across an advertisement for a lead kid role. She then had asked me if I would be interested. I had told my mom “Yes, I will give it a try.” My mom submitted the pictures Mr. Tony had taken, and almost immediately, I was offered my very first audition. It was for the lead kid role with a Hebrew accent. I remembered my mom and my grandmother accompanying me to the audition located in Poolville, TX. It was a 2 1/2-hour drive, but it gave me time to go over my script. I was a little nervous at first, but with the support of my mom and grandmother being there, it made it easier. The audition was for live theater. The studio was a beautiful scenery of the first century. After the audition, we were allowed to walk around the studio grounds. A week later my mom had received an offer email. I had landed the role!! Along with accepting the role included several Sunday rehearsals which meant several mini road trips each time. Except for the opening performances, they had provided a stay at their house on the hill for all actors that lived more than 2 hours away. My mom and I had so much fun. The experience was amazing. I will never forget it! The performances was a success. Years later, I would continue to return to the same studio for different live performances. Additionally, I was casted as background for The Chosen that had used their studios to film.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It had been a smooth road until COVID hit. COVID had changed everything. Even post-COVID it had changed the requirements for actors. Mask & vaccines were required for all actors. Plus, for minors like myself, my mom had to be vaccinated as well because all minors must have a guardian on set. Additionally, it had put a halt on filming.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m currently a junior high school student. I attend public school. My education comes first before acting. I love to learn. Additionally, I love to act because it comes natural to me. I can easily memorize my lines and act them out as naturally as I can. I have done background roles, featured roles, and speaking roles. I have done live theater, commercials, print ads, TV series, and major films. I’m most proud of God. He has Blessed me with a talent and has Blessed me with an amazing & supportive mom & family. My mom has always been there since day one. She works hard and still manages to find time for me & my siblings. My biggest accomplishment thus far was landing a featured role in the recently released major film: Blue Beetle. I am featured in a scene with Susan Sarandon. My mom had drove me to Atlanta, GA. We made some fun memories on & off set. It was exciting to see Xolo Mariduena Susan Sarandon and work with director Angel Manuel Soto. What sets me apart from others is the strong support I receive from mi familia (my family). The love from my mom, big brother, big sister, my grandmother, my Godparents, and the rest of my village helps me to act from my heart & soul.

What does success mean to you?
Success is having a loving and supportive family.
