Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Hardie.
Hi Hannah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, my name is Hannah Hardie. A little of my story goes back to when I was a tiny little girl. I started singing at age 3 and acting at age 6. Ever since I was a little girl all I ever really wanted to do was act and sing all my life. I’ve always been so passionate about the arts. I started singing in church and in community theatre at age 6. I started acting in church plays and community theatre at age 6. I would always sing for my family members and friend at parties, events, talent shows and basically any opportunity I got a chance to sing or act I would do it, my parents put me in piano at age 8 so I found something else I was very passionate about. Through middle school and Highschool, I continued to be involved in the arts, and through college, I continued to sing and act in college theatre. I had my first professional audition in my last year of college and was casted as a performer at HersheyPark in Hershey, Pennsylvania with RWS Entertainment Group based out of New York City. After my contract ended with RWS at HersheyPark, I continued pursuing my career with RWS at various amusement parks with RWS. I am very thankful and blessed for the time that RWS gave me with such amazing opportunities. Since working with RWS Entertainment Group I have transitioned into film and television acting. I have been auditioning and working on short films/student films in the DFW area. Also, I am an Singer/Songwriter and I am currently writing and recording my own music with producers in the DFW area. I am so blessed to have the opportunities that I’ve been given to pursue my dreams and goals and also, to share my passions with the world. Always follow your dreams never give up and do what fulfills your soul even if it challenging. The challenges you face is how you’re gonna grow. To God be all the glory.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This has not been a smooth road at all for me. It has been hard and a very long process, but I came to know that all good things are a process and just keep striving and working hard for your dreams because eventually, all the hard work is going to be worth and pay off… I reflect on every milestone and challenge that I faced, and it makes me realize now that every challenge you face only prepares you for the next step that you’re going to face. Some of the struggles along the way for me was failing a lot. I’ve never faced so much failure and I didn’t know how to cope with failure. I was thinking to myself maybe this industry isn’t right for me maybe I’m not good enough. As I was walking through self-doubt, I had a very wise person give me some really good advice. and they told me that “there’s always gonna be somebody that’s better you at something, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t find your place where you belong up there with them”. I also faced a lot of financial setbacks, and not having the funds to support my goals. I took on as many as jobs possible to fund my dreams. I remember not having a lot of knowledge of the entertainment industry and how the industry worked, and luckily God put people in my path to lead me and guide me through the process of the industry and how it worked, I am truly blessed because of that. I remember when I first stepped into the industry professionally and I remember saying wow this is really hard it’s not that easy. I remember thinking to myself this is gonna long and hard do I really want to do this. I prayed about it, and I was like God, you really want me to do this because this is long and hard. Do you really want me to do this if so, I’ll follow it. So, I decided to follow this path and trust the process.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer/actress. I am known for my love of the arts. I am known for being extremely fashionable no matter where I’m at. I always have to look my best. I am known to always being happy and my bubbly personality. Every time I sing or act in front of people. The most random people I don’t even know approach me and say “Wow, I admire how passionate you are about singing/acting/performing. I am most proud of how far I’ve come and how much I’ve grown in the past year since I set out on the journey. I think what sets me apart from others is my love for performing; whenever I sing in front of an audience or I’m on stage I love to acknowledge the audience and make the people feel seen notice. Music brings people together, and I love using my music to bring people together.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I love connecting with people. It makes you feel understood and heard. It really makes you feel like you’re in a safe place when you connect with somebody. It sets my soul on fire when you connect with somebody so different than you. My fathers have always told me the greatest thing is to love and be loved. So, I just love people and being with people that make me smile and people that I connect with and bond with. People that share interest with you.
