Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Steven.
Hi Hannah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Aeon was formed in 2017 by a group of friends who shared a passion for K-pop, Korean culture, and dancing. Our goal was to showcase our talent and appreciation for this vibrant culture to a wider audience. Since we already had a close friendship, we were able to create a unique style of performance that reflects our strong connection. Over the years, we have competed and won in various competitions across the U.S. and have had the opportunity to open for and backup dance for a variety of K-pop idols!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Unfortunately, as much as we wish it were a smooth road, it was definitely a difficult and rocky one to get to where we are. However, we would not have changed anything about how we got here because it has formed us as individuals to where we are now! Some of the obstacles we had to overcome were the clashing of opinions and personalities.
The most important part is that we want everyone’s opinions to matter and to be heard within the group.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a dance team that provides performances that not only showcases our teams talents but also the event itself! We are currently preparing for the Miss Multicultural USA Beauty Pageant and we are so beyond excited to collaborate with their team!
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
An important lesson we have learned as a team is creating a strong work-life balance between all of us. Because we are all either full time employees/students, it’s important that we learn to have a flexible and cohesive schedule to be able to pursue our passions.
