Check Out Jace Allen’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jace Allen.

Hi Jace, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I originally started as an IG “blog” posting food I’ve had, servers and bartenders I’ve recieved great service from. I then decided I wanted to create a safe space for us to be candid and open. So, I created a podcast; Where’s My Manners. Having conversations about what we love about the idustry, our “tips” to customers and sharing our experiences being in the industry.

Committed to creating- I’m now working on a mini animation series to tell more of a story from my bartending perspective. It’ll be based on true events put into 1-minute episodes narrated by me. Most people wouldn’t look at me and think I’m into comics or cartoons. But I am. One day I said to my co-worker “How dope would it be if we had a cartoon. What would our characters be like”- from there the idea grew. I can not wait for its release.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey hasn’t been the easiest. My objective had to be readjusted & reorganized a few times. Sometimes being passionate about something; your career choice can be exhausting. The struggles on the way have simply been life. Getting in my own way from time to time. However this year, I’m vowing to trust my instincs without second guessing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a DOPE bartender. A bartender in an industry, like most, where woman are overlooked. I specialize in customer service. I stand on it. I’m known for my attention to detail.

This is what sets me apart from everyone else, my personality & my drive. The fact that im coming out with serval differnt avenunes to showcase the industry, and not just the job itself. The more I fall in love with it all. The more passionate I get.

I also love getting the opportunity to bartend for my friends’ events, creating custom cocktails for them and their guest.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Check out everything i have going on- Where’s my manners podcast on apple and spotify. I’ll be announcing my animation release soon on IG to air on youtube and facebook. So definetly follow my instagram for updates.
