Check Out Jackie Romanies’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Romanies.

Hi Jackie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My path into wellness was shaped by both curiosity and lived experience. I’ve always been drawn to understanding how the body works—not just structurally, but emotionally and energetically as well. Early in my career, I realized that many people were seeking care that felt more human, more thoughtful, and more empowering than what they were used to receiving.
That insight led me to build a practice rooted in connection, education, and whole-person healing. Over time, my work evolved into what is now Emerald Wellness Company—a space intentionally designed to feel calming, supportive, and safe, where healing truly happens. I wanted to create an environment where people, especially women and families, felt seen, listened to, and respected, not rushed or reduced to a symptom.
Today, my work blends evidence-based care with a deep respect for the body’s innate ability to heal. The journey hasn’t been linear, but it’s been purposeful. Each step—every lesson, challenge, and refinement—has reinforced my belief that wellness isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about building trust, consistency, and care that meets people where they are and supports where they want to go.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the most defining choices I made was committing to longer patient appointments, even when the industry norm—and business pressure—pushed in the opposite direction. In a fast-paced world, efficiency is often rewarded over presence, but I saw firsthand that rushing people through care doesn’t truly serve patients—or practitioners.
Standing my ground meant trusting what I knew to be true: healing takes time. It requires listening, education, and space for patients to ask questions and feel safe in their bodies again. Longer appointments allow me to treat the whole person, not just manage symptoms, and that depth of care consistently leads to better outcomes and stronger trust.
There were moments when this choice felt risky. I ultimately opened my own office to protect the quality of patient visits I believed in. Longer appointments don’t always align with traditional healthcare models, and it required creativity and discipline to build a sustainable practice rooted in quality rather than volume. Over time, that decision became one of my greatest strengths—patients sought out my practice because they felt unhurried and genuinely cared for.
In a culture that celebrates speed, choosing depth is a form of leadership. I believe quality care isn’t a luxury; it’s a responsibility. Staying aligned with that belief has shaped not only how I practice, but how my business continues to grow.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At the heart of my work is caring for women and families in a way that feels human, grounded, and deeply supportive. I specialize in women’s health, family wellness, and nervous system–focused care, helping people feel safe, regulated, and more at home in their bodies—often during seasons of life that feel overwhelming or vulnerable.
I work closely with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, chronic stress, and major life transitions, as well as families who want proactive, connected care rather than crisis-driven solutions. Much of my focus is on the nervous system—because when the body is constantly in survival mode, healing becomes incredibly difficult. Gentle, intentional care helps create the space the body needs to rest, restore, and heal.
What truly sets my practice apart is the experience I offer. I slow things down. I listen. I create room for questions, for emotion, and for understanding. Longer appointments allow patients to feel seen rather than rushed, and that sense of safety often becomes the foundation for meaningful change.
What I’m most proud of is building a practice that protects that depth of care. I’ve chosen presence over pace and connection over volume. Watching women reconnect with trust in their bodies, and families feel truly supported—not just treated—reminds me every day why this work is meaningful, necessary, and important.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The quality that has been most important to my success is a combination of optimism and genuine care for my patients. Optimism allows me to approach every day and every patient with hope and possibility, while deep care ensures that every decision—from creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard and empowered, to implementing a comprehensive whole-person approach—is centered on their well-being. When these qualities come together, patients feel truly seen and supported, and it’s that trust and connection that has become the foundation of both my practice and my purpose.
