Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Camargo.
Hi Jacqueline, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Jacqueline Camargo, and I’ve been part of Quinceañeras Magazine since 2012. For nearly 15 years, I’ve worked across markets like Kansas City, Denver, Dallas, and Chicago, helping grow a platform that celebrates the quinceañera as a meaningful cultural milestone for young Latinas and their families.
As a mother, this work is deeply personal. I’ve grown alongside my daughter while building this community, which has shaped the way I connect with the girls in our Expo Model programs, focusing on confidence, growth, and cultural pride.
Dallas, in particular, has been an incredible market, with a vibrant Hispanic community. It has also allowed us to help brands and businesses connect authentically with Latino families and teenagers in a meaningful way.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Expanding into new markets, building trust within different communities, and managing the complexities of live events have all come with challenges.
A major turning point was during COVID, when we stopped printing and transitioned fully into digital. That shift allowed us to evolve into a more accessible platform through quinceanerasmagazine.com, where we now offer an interactive digital magazine and a vendor directory that connects families directly with businesses anytime.
My role has grown into building those connections, helping brands authentically reach Latino families. At the same time, our Expo Quinceañera events continue to grow as powerful in-person experiences. Together, they create a bridge between culture, community, and business.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in helping brands and local businesses grow by connecting them with the Hispanic market, particularly quinceañera families and young Latinas, through culturally intelligent marketing, media, and curated experiences.
Through Quinceañeras Magazine, we’ve developed a multi-platform ecosystem that includes an interactive digital magazine and vendor directory on QuinceañerasMagazine.com, alongside high-impact Expo Quinceañera events.
My work is centered on creating meaningful connections, positioning brands in a way that resonates authentically with Latino families, while also simplifying the planning journey for those preparing for such an important milestone.
What I’m most proud of is building a platform that elevates both sides: empowering families to celebrate with intention and confidence, and giving businesses a sophisticated pathway to engage with this market.
What sets me apart is a deep understanding of culture combined with strategy. I don’t approach this as traditional marketing, I approach it as a curated experience, where every touchpoint reflects the values, emotion, and significance behind the quinceañera. That level of intentionality is what creates lasting impact.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice is to stay consistent and truly understand the community you want to serve. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and building trust, especially within culturally rooted markets, takes time, presence, and authenticity.
One thing I wish I knew when I started is that evolving is part of the process. You have to be open to change, adapt to new platforms, and grow with your audience. For me, that meant transitioning from print to digital and expanding into live experiences, each step required learning and reinvention.
Most importantly, don’t focus only on selling, focus on building relationships. When you lead with value and connection, growth becomes a natural result.
As Napoleon Hill said, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” That mindset has guided my journey from the beginning.
