Today we’d like to introduce you to Jada Terrell
Hi Jada, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Before I became an esthetician I already had a love for all things in the beauty industry. But the thing that got me into aesthetics was actually my own acne. I struggled severely with acne. Many doctors visits and little change later – I decided that I wanted to dive into the world of skincare and beauty so I could learn more personally and also help others that may deal with the same skin conditions as me. So I enrolled in school and absorbed all that I could – years later I now get to implement my experience and knowledge in aiding others who deal with the same concerns as I did, but also offer many other holistic and natural beauty enhancing services in a safe space for all.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The beauty industry can be very cut throat and competitive. I dealt with imposter syndrome constantly, wondering if I made the right decision in career choice. But ultimately, my drive and passion kept me going. I’m very fortunate to have landed where I am now; surrounded by a supporting community.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a licensed esthetician that specializes in holistic facials. I also provide beauty enhancing services like lash lifts, brow laminations and body waxing. I am most proud of the connections I’ve made over the years. Whether it be by other beauty professionals or my clientele, I really feel so supported by who I am surrounded by. I think that sense of community really sets me apart, and it took a lot of time to build that. Something I feel sets me apart is the bespoke aspect of all my services. No client receives the same exact service. Everyone has different goals and preferences and I take that and try to provide an experience that will best benefit you.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
One surprising thing most people don’t know about me is that I’m really into personal development and mindset work. While my focus is on helping clients look and feel their best on the outside, I’m also big on the inner work that supports that confidence. I believe that beauty is just as much about how you feel as how you look, so I’m always learning ways to bring more positivity and growth into my life and my business.
