Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Hartwell.
Hi Jade, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi I’m Jade Hartwell, 21 years of age, and my purpose in life is to spread the word of God to everyone! As a young kid, I’ve always had a heart for ministry. Growing in a family that is in ministry gave me more insight on what it really is about. It’s more than having a good sermon. It’s about winning and helping souls to Christ! By the grace of God, I am doing ministry. Fun Fact even though I’m in a family that does ministry, I still didn’t want to do ministry, but you can’t run away from what you are called and purposed to do. How I got started was at 10 years old, but I became serious in ministry at 19 years old. God has opened many doors for me since I was 19 years old; now at 21 years old some of the platforms and opportunities I have had are such a blessing. Truly excited for what is in store for me! Currently, I have a successful Ministry called ” Future Leaders Applying Greatness,” and for my personal ministry it’s just beginning.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One thing you will learn that in ministry, you will have trials and tribulations. In life, you will endure trials and tribulations! I could tell some life stories, but instead of telling what I’ve been through I want to take this time to encourage those who may deal with struggles along the way. For it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Trust God means to have confidence in him! Many times, we allow our issues to consume us and tells us how our life will be determined. But I know and have found God to be trustworthy. As the word declares, ” He will make your paths straight,” meaning although it may seem or feel uneasy, God will be there to carry you through. I know that as long as I trust him with all my heart, I will make it. So, if you are having a difficult time in any situation, Try trusting God!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m just a young person that has a heart for God and the Gospel. This year, I decided to take my calling in ministry seriously, and the way God opened doors for me is mind-blowing! For starters, I had the amazing opportunity to be in a church that believes in my calling, to being spotlighted on the COGIC IYD page, Praying at COGIC AIM Convention, speaking on a college panel discussion, Winning COGIC Girls Rock Awards for Media Graphics, and now Aspiring to become a Missionary. All this happened in one year! But this only because I gave God a complete “Yes”. Which is something I had a difficulty in doing for so long. I could say what sets me apart is because I live for God. For the Bible says, “You have been set apart as holy to the LORD your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.” found in Deuteronomy 14:2.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking.
I wouldn’t call it a Risk, but I would say a leap of FAITH. I never would have thought That my ministry would have reached as many people as it has and is still reaching. The people who tell us what God has done for them by watching our current and even old videos blesses me so much. That’s my goal that whatever God gives me that not only reaches many but causes good change in people’s life!
