Hi Jazmin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey has been one of resilience and transformation. I went through a period of domestic violence that left me feeling trapped and broken, but I knew I had to find a way out not just for myself but for my daughters. Becoming a flight attendant was my escape—literally and figuratively. It was a career that offered me freedom and a fresh start, allowing me to see the world while providing for my family. I feel in love with it even more because of the women it allowed me to be , believing in myself again and the heights I could reach. Even the sky became limitless.
Moving to Dallas was a bold decision, but it was necessary for a new chapter. The city welcomed me with open arms, and it’s here that I am truly findinf my footing as a business owner and influencer. I took the challenges life threw at me and turned them into opportunities, using my experiences to connect with others and build a brand that empowers women, especially those who’ve faced similar struggles. Dallas isn’t just a new city for me; it’s the place where I rebrand of High Maintenance Jazz begins.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I believe those bumps have shaped me into who I am today. The journey started with escaping a situation a situation which was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
Escaping my previous situation was an experience that left me feeling vulnerable and uncertain about the future. Starting over as a single mom while trying to build a career as a flight attendant and business was incredibly challenging. Balancing the demands of a new job with raising two daughters on my own was tough—there were days I doubted myself and wondered if I was making the right choices. I really couldn’t thank my family and support system enough.
Moving to Dallas was another hurdle. It meant leaving behind what little familiarity I had and stepping into the unknown. Starting a new life in a new city, while also growing a business and establishing myself as an influencer, wasn’t easy. There were moments of financial strain, sleepless nights, and a constant struggle to maintain balance between my personal life, career, and growing online presence.
But through it all, I’ve learned the importance of perseverance and self-belief. Every struggle has taught me something valuable, and I’ve come to see those challenges as stepping stones rather than obstacles. The road wasn’t smooth, but it was worth every bump along the way.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I wear many hats, but at the core of it all, I’m a im an amazing woman and mother. As a flight attendant, I’ve had the privilege of seeing lots of the world and meeting people from all walks of life, which has deeply influenced my work as an influencer. I specialize in creating content that resonates with women, particularly those who love travel, are navigating careers, motherhood, and personal growth. I’m known for sharing authentic, real-life experiences—whether it’s the ups and downs of being a single mom, my journey into the aviation industry, or the challenges of building a business from the ground up.
One of my proudest accomplishments is the launch of my high-maintenance travel wear brand. My business partner and I saw a gap in the market for stylish, comfortable travel apparel that caters to women who want to feel empowered and confident while on the go. Our brand is a reflection of our personal style and the needs of women who, like us demand both fashion and function in their wardrobes.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend my experience in the travel industry with my passion for entrepreneurship and content creation. I’m not just sharing products or experiences—I’m sharing a lifestyle, one that’s rooted in resilience, confidence, and the belief that every woman deserves to feel her best, no matter where life takes her.
Being an influencer allows me to connect with a community of like-minded women who find inspiration in my journey, and that’s something I’m incredibly proud of. Whether it’s through my social media platforms, my travel wear brand, my goal is always to uplift and empower others.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
One surprising thing that most people might not know about me is that, despite my confident and outgoing presence online, I’m actually an introvert at heart. While I love connecting with my community and sharing my journey as an influencer and business owner, I find my energy in quiet moments and solitude. I’m most at peace when I’m spending time alone or with my daughters, recharging and reflecting.
Another surprising fact is that my journey into the flight attendant career and becoming an entrepreneur was a complete leap of faith. I didn’t grow up with a clear plan to enter the aviation industry or to start a business; it was something that evolved out of necessity and a desire to create a better life for myself and my children.
These experiences have taught me to embrace uncertainty and trust in my ability to adapt and thrive, even when the path ahead isn’t clear. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most unexpected turns in life can lead to the most fulfilling destinations.
