Today we’d like to introduce you to Jedidiah Peters Aka Tito Da Fire
Hi Jedidiah , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My life has been one of seeing the power of becoming and achieving whatever my heart and mind could conceive, right from childhood. growing up in Liberia, then to Nigeria and USA. In St.Francis Elementary Tappita, Nimba county and Sango-Ota High school, I won debates, and Essay competitions on National and state levels and later won a song-writing contract. Seeing that all I only dreamed of was coming true, made me super excited, such that every year after high school, I would write down bigger and seemingly outrageous goals, goal so big that in 15years i’d still be working to achieve them. and guess what? every year on the night of my birthday, I would pray and thank Jehovah for all he’s done for me up to that date, and write new bogus goals. Surprisingly, each year till date, I see 80% of all those dreams and goals coming true. Releasing music, award nominations, like being on a Grammy Nominated album, “The Fury’ for Best Contemporary Blues, owning a label Grindiin Records and an agency G2M Creatives have all come to pass and still happening, and I remain committed to inspiring the world with my life experience of becoming all one dreams of
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been like a movie, starting life in a loving family with dad, mom and siblings, traveling the world every year, then suddenly civil war comes and strips away the beautiful life, then your entire family starts life all over, in a different country, was heart-wrenching. That was the first life’s rocking of the boat, but the amazing thing is, it never dampened my hopes and dreams, Understanding very early that life isn’t a bed of smoothie helped me stay stable. In fact it fueled my passion to make a mark for generations to come. challenges nearly shook me off rail, but having a strong circle, with God at the centre, a strong support system, all that motivated me to hit the highest notes of my pursuits, as I owed it to myself and the unborn generation not to just be a passing spectator..but a impact maker. I chose the Creative and entrepreneurial path early and that path is a self-sacrificing and demanding path, Funding the record label, signing artistes and investing in them, the capital requirements are huge, I put my savings into it, sometimes you get it back sometimes you do not, you simply learn and keep moving.
The most exciting parts have been when I started collaborating with other artistes, and music lovers and leaders from different parts of the world start to recognize your artistry and impact.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a creative at heart. I sing, write songs and do creative copy-writing, conceptualize ideas for brands, also a TV/Radio host and most recently Actor. Certified in Advertising and public Relations. Most proud of the numerous body of works I have released, “Carry Go’ my 2024 single, “On the Shoulders of Giants (OSG) Album of 2022, “One Kiss” Album, “Graduation Day’ album, “Majekaja” Album and being on the 67th Grammy Award Nominated “The Fury Album by Antonio Vergara in Best Contemporary Blues Category.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Nothing stays the same, be ready to change and adapt, and ive learned that we barely own anything in life, we are vessels and channels for their manifestations, we only have a temporary access and subtle hold, everything can be taken in a split moment, that’s why we should live for higher principles, impact positively, do things remembering the generation coming.
