Today we’d like to introduce you to Jihan Kapur
Hi Jihan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Jihan Kapur. I am a visionary, public speaker, and philanthropist in my local community. While just a 17-year-old high schooler, I have worked extremely hard over my high school journey to cultivate a brand behind my name and actions.
– I am a 2 time TEDx speaker and TEDx Event organizer
– I serve as the founder of Impact Educational Group (We work on Pro Bono Cases to help local businesses and nonprofits; We have 70+ clients and 6,000+ members internationally)
– I run my first startup as well, Mr. Penguin Soap (Generated thousands, donated hundreds to Germaphobia OCD Organizations, and held multiple community events for hygiene awareness in children)
– I run Cash Curious, a comedy based Financial Literacy content creation channel
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most definitely has not been a smooth road in my journey with my ventures. Before I decided to pursue my non-profit, I was on board with much more prominent organizations (at the time) and my ambition always limited me due to my lack of a “high role” in these organizations. I was unable to freely do what I wanted to in terms of implementation, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and start Impact Educational Group. With my first ever startup business, Mr Penguin Soap, I was criticized by many “keyboard warriors”, as we call them, or people who hate on something behind a computer screen. But, I never let any of these take me down. I kept at it and worked until I got to a place where I would have never doubted my own abilities.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
The common theme with all my ventures comes down to 3 things: Envisioning, Marketing, and Community Giving. I would say that everything is an idea until steps are taken to implement them, and I never had a shortage of such ideas. I love to create and start ventures that excite me, and I never do anything where I don’t have any passion. I am most proud of Impact Educational Group, my non-profit, as we see firsthand how our help with pro bono business cases serves the betterment of people. What sets me apart from others is my obsession. I understand that I may not be the smartest person in a room at any given time, but I also understand that intelligence is useless without obsession.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
For Impact Educational Group, we are currently working on updating our website. We love to sign pro bono cases and get an opportunity to raise money to streamline operations for our clients.
For Mr Penguin Soap, our socials are starting to boom and we are working on new ingredients. I would love to see support with the soap!
