Today we’d like to introduce you to Karina Hamzeh.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I come from an extremely creative family, I have been painting since my early teens, my mother is a baker, and my grandmother has been decorating parties in New Jersey for as long as I can remember. Mid 2021, I decorated a party in the Marriot Courtyard in Allen for no cost for my employer at the time. From there I have been recognized by the Party coordinators at the hotel and referred to other people to decorate for their event. It wasn’t until November 2021 that I decided to make this a business and to take it more seriously. Since then, I have been constructing plans for the future of my business that I call gatherel Events- because what do we do at parties? We GATHER! I have found a passion in taking a person’s idea and making it come to life, and that is what plan to execute every event. Small or Large! I have been coworking, doing events with @sweetcelebrationbycindy, and this has created an open door of opportunities!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This has not been a smooth journey, but definitely a rewarding one. Every small business owner can relate to the long planning days, due dates, and pricing based off worth and quality. As I am growing, I am learning to better connect with my customers; establish and receive expectations, and better market myself to the world.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Gatherel Events is known for its beautiful balloon decor. But what sets us apart is personally I am known as a painter and creator. I love to include my own touch to each event, giving the event personalization and making it more unique.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am 20 years old; I never mention my age but I am a young entrepreneur.
