Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathy Fehr.
Hi Kathy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2018 after I had graduated high school, I did a senior session for one of my friends, and I absolutely fell in love with the thought of being a photographer. I’ve always loved taking pictures but never thought that I’d be able to turn it into a business. Over the past few years, I’ve focused on creating an overall client experience that makes people excited to work with me. Building relationships with clients is important to me because nobody feels comfortable with a stranger taking pictures of them. By the time their session comes around, I want my clients to feel comfortable enough to trust me and trust that they will be receiving images that they will love.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been very far from smooth, but every step has been worth it. Weeks and months would go by where I wouldn’t book a shoot, so I thought that I just wasn’t good enough. Giving up sounded like the easy thing to do, but I didn’t want to give up at that point. I wanted to give myself one last shot, so I had invested in some courses from my favorite photographer and implemented those things into my own business.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in high school seniors, couples, and weddings. My style is light, bright, and bold. I’m known for florals and greens because they just add so much life to the final images. I’m proud of all of the progress that I’ve made, considering that I taught myself everything that I know. The thing that sets me apart is I my bright and colorful style.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My friends have supported me through every step of my business. I have the most amazing clients and I’ve loved working with each and every one of them. Hope Taylor Photography has had the biggest role in helping me in my business. Her courses have completely changed my business for the better.
