Kaytlin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Kaytlin O’Neall, and I have experience in various fields. Ever since I was young, I have always been more of the creative entrepreneur type. I pursued acting as a young girl, started my YouTube channel and social media presence in middle school, worked in graphic design and as a party princess during high school. After graduating, I established my own photography business and moved across the world and back doing missions. Despite challenges, pursuing my passions has been an adventure which I am proud of. Nothing is perfect by any means, but God has been so good that through the ups and the downs, He has been faithful to guide me every step. My key takeaways from my many different diverse jobs and business ventures is that communication is ultimately going to do wonders for you no matter what job you are in. Operating with integrity when no one is looking, and creativity, your own personal flare to your job are assets that make you worth hiring. Presently, I am enthusiastic about future opportunities, particularly expanding my photography business while continuing to create content for my personal and joint YouTube channels with my boyfriend.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life is an unpredictable voyage, often filled with both triumphs and tribulations. For me, learning and perfecting photography and content creation has been a self-taught endeavor. Encouragement from loved ones and peers in the industry has been instrumental to me in my journey. Initially, I was hesitant about traveling abroad for a prolonged period, unsure about what the impact would be on my photography business. However, I am grateful for the experience, as it provided me with a wealth of knowledge that I would not have gained otherwise. Furthermore, it allowed me to offer free photo sessions to those in need, which helped me redefine my priorities and values in a business capacity. My career in photography and content creation has been a fulfilling creative outlet, although it can be challenging not to compare myself to others with more extensive followings and more experience. I have been everywhere, from zero followers to having TikTok’s gain millions of views. Regardless of where my profession takes me, my ultimate goal remains centered on personal growth and being kind to those around me, with creativity and integrity serving as guiding principles. Whatever your job is, there will always be other people that you can look up to and admire, but it is your choice to compare your God-given talent to someone else. I know it might sound cheesy, but there truly is only one of you. You bring something special and unique to the table, so believe in the ability you’ve been given.

As a professional photographer specializing in engagement, proposals, newborn, maternity, family, senior, graduation, product, and wedding portrait photography, my ultimate passion is capturing authentic individuals in love. I believe that the most rewarding aspect of photography is not only using this medium as a creative outlet but also preserving special moments that my clients can cherish forever. In addition, I have started assisting with wedding photography, aiming to gain valuable experience and knowledge to provide my clients with the most professional and dreamy experience possible on their big day.
Apart from photography, I am a content creator with a social media presence on YouTube TikTok and the creator of my own podcast, Light on the Subject. My goal is to inspire and encourage others to live authentically, seeking the Lord and recognizing his unending love for everyone. I am passionate about cultivating communities, both in-person and online, that reflect the heart of God, where every individual can feel seen, heard, and loved.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I have come to understand that there is a distinction between happiness and joy. Pursuing activities I enjoy, such as photography, content creation, hanging out with friends, spending time with loved ones such as family and my boyfriend, all brings me happiness. However, I have discovered that true joy can be found even in the most challenging of circumstances. My relationship with the Lord has been a source of profound joy in my life. At a young age, I realized the significance of God sacrificing his only son to enable me to have an intimate connection with him. This realization has deepened my faith and created a passion within me to inspire others with the message of love that every individual can experience for themselves.
