Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Fomunung.
Kenneth, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m the founder of My Rich Brand and the creator of the MRB ecosystem — a digital-first suite of creative and AI-powered solutions that helps entrepreneurs build, launch, and grow modern brands with speed, clarity, and confidence.
My Rich Brand started in a very simple way — I kept meeting incredibly talented people with unclear, inconsistent, or outdated branding. Their problem wasn’t ambition or ability; it was that the digital landscape had evolved faster than they had resources to keep up.
At the same time, AI, automation, and rapid design tools were changing the way brands were being built. Most small business owners were overwhelmed, not under-skilled. They just didn’t have a system.
That’s what pushed me to create My Rich Brand and later the MRB ecosystem. I wanted to build a clear, modern framework — the MRB Stack — that makes branding faster, smarter, and more accessible. Founders shouldn’t have to spend months or tens of thousands of dollars trying to figure everything out alone. I wanted to simplify the process, empower them with clarity, and give them the confidence to launch or scale their ideas with excellence.
Of course, MRB didn’t explode overnight. It grew through consistency, skill, and a genuine desire to help people. I refined my craft one client at a time, building websites, systems, and brand identities for entrepreneurs who needed clarity and direction. That hands-on work sharpened me. Every project improved my process. Every client taught me something about what businesses actually need to grow.
MRB didn’t start as a big agency. It grew because I kept saying yes whenever people reached out for help. Over time, I realized I wasn’t just designing — I was building frameworks, systems, and strategies that could be repeated and scaled. That’s when the MRB ecosystem really took shape.
There were setbacks, delays, long nights, and seasons where I had to rebuild parts of the business from the ground up. But those challenges were important. They forced me to simplify, improve my systems, and create a more efficient model for the founders I serve. Looking back, the lessons were just as important as the wins.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t been smooth at all. Building a business from scratch while also navigating life, multiple responsibilities, and unexpected challenges forced me to grow in ways I didn’t anticipate. There were seasons where I had to rebuild entire parts of the business, refine systems that weren’t working, and learn to simplify complex processes so clients could experience more clarity and less confusion.
There were moments of burnout, long nights, and financial strain — especially in the early stages when you’re wearing every hat: designer, strategist, marketer, project manager, and customer support. At times, it felt like progress was slow because I was constantly having to create, test, rebuild, and improve.
But those challenges sharpened me. They pushed me to create better systems, more efficient frameworks, and a more repeatable process. Every obstacle taught me something that eventually became part of the MRB ecosystem. The struggles shaped the structure that allows me to serve clients faster, smarter, and with more excellence today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As an author, writing has always been one of the purest expressions of my creativity and identity. Under the pseudonym Kenny S. Rich, I’ve published multiple works over the years—titles that didn’t become commercial hits, but meant a great deal to me because I finished what I started. Too many people never get to experience the joy of holding their own completed book in their hands, so for me, each project was already a success.
My dream has always included becoming a bestselling author, and in many ways, it still does. But even without that milestone, authorship taught me discipline, clarity of thought, and emotional courage. Every book reflected a different season of my life and helped shape me into the entrepreneur I am today.
After navigating deeply personal challenges this past year, I’m now in a place of renewed strength and creative clarity. I’m ready to return to writing and publishing in 2026—this time with more experience, more life lived, and a more refined voice. Reviving my authorship is part of the entrepreneurial spirit I call “authorpreneurship,” where creativity and business align with purpose. I’m excited to bring new stories, new perspectives, and new works to life in this next season.
What I do and specialize in:
My writing blends faith, introspection, personal transformation, and emotional honesty. I specialize in crafting the kinds of stories and reflections that encourage people to reflect, heal, and grow.
What I’m known for:
Readers often describe my work as vivid, imaginative, profound, transparent, relatable, and spiritually grounded. My voice is conversational and heartfelt—built on authenticity rather than performance.
What I’m most proud of:
I’m proud of finishing what I start. I’m proud of creating books that reflect who I was in each season, even when the world wasn’t watching. The discipline, courage, and honesty required to publish my own work are accomplishments I hold close.
What sets me apart:
What differentiates me is the way my faith, lived experiences, and entrepreneurial mindset intersect with my writing. I don’t just write books—I build frameworks and perspectives that help people see possibility in their own journeys. My creative work is both art and purpose, and in 2026, I’m stepping back into that calling with renewed passion and a stronger voice than ever before.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
My favorite book of all time is the Holy Bible. It’s the foundation of my faith, my moral compass, and the guide I lean on daily. That wasn’t always the case, but after a deeply transformative year in 2025, Scripture has become my primary source of wisdom, strength, and direction in every area of my life.
Outside of the Bible, a few books have shaped my thinking and imagination over the years:
• The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho — a timeless reminder about purpose and the courage to follow your personal legend.
• Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe — a powerful exploration of culture, identity, and the impact of change, especially meaningful to me as an African.
• Angels & Demons by Dan Brown — a fast-paced thriller that sparked my love for layered storytelling.
• The Clone and I by Danielle Steel — a fun, unexpected read that stuck with me for how creative and unconventional it was.
• The One-Eyed King by yours truly — one of my proudest creative achievements. I genuinely believe it has all the depth and cinematic potential for a Hollywood film adaptation or original series. Bias aside, I think it’s one of my most brilliant story concepts.
Those works, along with Scripture, reflect the mix of imagination, cultural roots, faith, and creative curiosity that shape the way I think and create today.
