Check Out Kenneth Johnson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenneth Johnson.

Hi Kenneth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Dallas Elite Track Club started with a simple vision: to create a place where athletes could develop not only speed and strength, but confidence, discipline, and character. In the early days, we began with a small group of athletes / limited resources / a single training location, driven by a passion for track and a belief that consistent coaching and accountability could change lives.

As the program grew, so did our commitment to excellence. We focused on structured training, athlete development, and building a culture that valued hard work both on and off the track. Over time, word spread, our roster expanded, and our athletes began to see real results—improved performances, personal records, and opportunities to compete at higher levels.

Today, Dallas Elite Track Club represents more than just a track team. It’s a community built on dedication, mentorship, and high standards. What started as a vision has grown into a program that continues to develop competitive athletes while preparing them for success beyond the sport.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most growing programs, Dallas Elite Track Club has faced its share of challenges along the way. One of the biggest struggles has been finances and securing consistent sponsorships. Running a quality track program requires resources—for facilities, equipment, meet entry fees, travel, and coaching support—and in the early stages especially, those resources were limited.

There were times when we had to be creative, make sacrifices, and rely heavily on personal investment and the support of families who believed in the vision. Competing against larger, more established programs with stronger financial backing wasn’t easy, and it pushed us to be resourceful and intentional about every decision we made.

Despite those challenges, those struggles helped shape Dallas Elite into what it is today. They reinforced the importance of resilience, community support, and staying committed to our mission even when the road wasn’t easy. Each obstacle forced us to grow—not just financially, but as leaders and as a program—and it made every bit of progress that much more meaningful.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently work as a Sales Account Manager, where my primary focus is building strong, lasting relationships. I specialize in relationship building—understanding people’s needs, earning trust, and creating partnerships that are built on integrity and long-term value rather than short-term gains.

I’m known for helping others. Whether it’s clients, colleagues, or young people in the community, I take pride in being someone others can rely on for support, guidance, and encouragement.

What I’m most proud of is being a father to my six children and serving as a mentor to kids, not just in sports, but in life. Watching them grow, gain confidence, and develop character means more to me than any professional achievement.

What truly sets me apart is my genuine love for kids and my faith in Jesus Christ. Those values guide how I lead, how I serve, and how I connect with people every day. They shape my purpose and motivate me to pour into others with authenticity, compassion, and consistency.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
One thing that might surprise people is that I once appeared in a movie called Open Mike Night. Most people know me through my work, leadership, and mentoring, so they’re often surprised to learn that I’ve had an experience in film. It was a unique opportunity that pushed me outside my comfort zone and gave me a new appreciation for creativity and storytelling.
