Today we’d like to introduce you to Khush.
Hi Khush, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started when I was 8 years old. My mom was invited to an interview with Jeff Crilley, and after the interview, Mr. Crilley told me that I could start my own podcast too! A few months later, my mom and I opened Copilot and started brainstorming names for the podcast. At the time, we thought it would just be a fun experiment. Eventually, we came up with the name “GenAI FutureCast” and found our very first guest. That first episode led to episode 2, then episode 3, episode 4, and many more. What started as a simple podcast experiment began turning into something much bigger. Today, GenAI FutureCast has grown beyond just podcasting. I’m now hosting hackathons, teaching AI classes, hosting events, and partnering with local restaurants and businesses. It is amazing to think that one interview got me to where I am today! One conversation gave me the idea to try something new, and that idea eventually became GenAI FutureCast and brought me to where I am today.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course, the process was not always smooth. Originally, I wanted to record my podcast at a professional studio, but that wasn’t affordable for me. At the time, I also thought GenAI FutureCast would just be a podcast, and nothing else! One of my first challenges was figuring out how to record the podcast. We looked at many different tools, and the best free option we found was Riverside.fm. However, the free version had limitations, which created some obstacles for us. Finding guests was another challenge. Sometimes people would say yes but never reply when it was time to schedule the interview. Other times, someone would say, “Sorry, something came up. I’ll try to find another time,” but I would never hear back. But I didn’t give up. Instead, I started finding ways to overcome each obstacle. I found ways to earn money so I could pay for a better Riverside.fm plan. I also started attending networking events and meeting new people. Most importantly, I learned to take chances and reach out to lots of people, knowing that not everyone would say yes or follow through. Those challenges taught me that when something doesn’t work the first time, I don’t have to stop, I just have to find another way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I own a podcast called GenAI FutureCast, I specialize in hosting AI Hackathons, AI Classes, AI Assisted Songs, and books. I also help as podcast producer for small businesses. I am perhaps the youngest AI enthusiast who hosts his own podcast and events. I am excited to introduce AI to all ages and Skill Levels while emphasizing the human aspect of AI. I am particularly interested in using AI Safely and Ethically as a young student myself. I learn everyday as I prepare for classes and hackathons that I host. Im very proud that I was a keynote speaker at The Success Door Youth Summit where I also led the session for the young entrepreneurs to build their AI assisted products or services.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that most people who know me don’t know is that I’m a regular 10 yr old who sneakily plays video games well beyond my allocated screen time often getting into trouble. Sometimes, I challenge my older brothers or prank them. There is a professional side to my personality named “Bob” who is very organized, focused, bold, and creative. My fun side “Bob Jr” still is creative, but very goofy and gamer like.
