Today, we’d like to introduce you to Kirschen Wolford.
Hi Kirschen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Kirschen Wolford, and I’m a multi-hyphenated artist born and raised in Dallas, TX. I also go by TeX when performing in my artistic realm. I started taking my solo career seriously in 2016 when my sister passed away from kidney failure.
That’s who I do all my music for. From then until now, I’ve been able to perform throughout Texas and in Oklahoma. In Dallas, I’ve been on an artist roster that allows me to perform free shows and host songwriting workshops for children.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Well, it hasn’t been such an easy road, and the biggest challenge is what I mentioned previously with my sister. It was such a blind shot that it took three years for me to recover and heal.
After exiting that hiatus, I became a stronger artist and an overall better human being.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a professional artist, I perform music shows with live instrumentation, creating an immersive experience. In addition to the shows, I host songwriting workshops for children ages 6-18. I’m most proud of these because of their impact on the students and their parents.
The thing that sets me apart from others is my unorthodox approach. I love trying different and innovative art. I love blending different art disciplines.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
A few things that may be surprising to some who know my music brand is that I have a bachelor’s in acting. Also, I can play piano and drums.
