Today we’d like to introduce you to La-shawnda Thompson The Transformation Specialist πŸ’‹

Hi La-Shawnda Thompson , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been one of resilience, faith, and transformation. I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, with a passion for beauty and fashion that was evident from an early age. I attended Fashion Industries High School, where I honed my creativity and design skills, but life had a way of shaping my story in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

As a single mother of two, I faced homelessness for two years, an experience that tested my strength and faith but ultimately became the catalyst for my transformation. With God’s guidance and an unwavering determination, I went from surviving to thriving. I became a homeowner, a published author, and a successful entrepreneur. My testimony is proof that God can give you beauty for ashes when you surrender to His will.

I started in the beauty industry working for renowned brands like MAC, Laura Mercier, and NARS Cosmetics. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to combine my creative talents with my calling to empower women. Today, I wear many hats author, speaker, artist, transformation specialist, and founder of La-Shawnda’s House Of Beauty a one stop shop for women on the go. A company designed to help women look and feel their best .
My passion lies in helping women embrace their God-given identity and walk boldly in their purpose. Whether it’s through my books, makeup artistry, or Women of Fire ministry, I am committed to encouraging women to take authority over their lives and trust God’s blueprint for them.
From enduring seasons of brokenness to stepping into the fullness of my purpose, my journey is a testament to God’s grace. I’ve learned that no matter where you start, with faith, determination, and action, you can rewrite your story and live the life you’ve prayed for.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been an easy road at all. The journey has been filled with challenges that required a tremendous amount of faith, resilience, and perseverance. One of the hardest decisions I ever made was stepping away from my job of seven years to pursue my dreams. It was terrifying because I had no guarantee of success, but I knew deep down that God was calling me to something greater.

During that season, I struggled with self-doubt, fear of failure, and financial uncertainty. As a single mom, every decision felt heavier because it wasn’t just about me it was about providing for my daughters and creating a better life for them. At times, I felt overwhelmed by the weight of my responsibilities, but I leaned on my faith in God to carry me through.
There were moments when doors didn’t open, opportunities fell through, and I questioned if I’d made the right choice. I’ve faced rejection, setbacks, and even the criticism of others who didn’t understand my vision. But those struggles taught me how to persevere, to trust God even when I couldn’t see the way forward, and to celebrate progress, no matter how small.
Looking back, I realize that the struggles were necessary. They shaped my character, refined my vision, and gave me the tools I needed to build a business, a brand, and a life rooted in purpose.
Those tough seasons made me stronger, and they’re the reason I’m able to empower other women today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in transformation helping women look and feel their best both inside and out. I’m most proud of my ability to turn my pain into purpose. My testimony of going from homelessness to literary and entrepreneurial success has allowed me to connect with women who are in their own seasons of struggle. I’m proud of the platforms I’ve built, like Kingdom Kreatives Agency, The Beauty Exchange Podcast and my ministry Women Of Fire because they show the many ways God’s grace can manifest.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I absolutely have to give credit to my father, my number one supporter. From day one, he has been my greatest cheerleader, always encouraging me to chase my dreams and never give up. His unwavering belief in me has been a source of strength and confidence throughout my journey.

I thank God for His love, His wisdom, and his steady presence in my life. He’s been a rock for me, offering guidance and support when I needed it most. Whether it was celebrating my wins or reminding me of my worth during tough times, he’s always been there. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better father naturally as well as spiritually, and I’m so grateful for the role he’s played in my life and success.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible people God placed in my life along the way. First and foremost, I have to give credit to my grandmother, Betty Bush, whose wisdom, faith, and love shaped so much of who I am. She was a devout woman of God who led me to Christ, prayed with me during tough times, and instilled in me the values that guide my work and life.
My daughters, Emani and Emiyah, are my greatest motivators. They’ve been my why the reason I push through challenges and strive to create a legacy they can be proud of. Their unconditional love and support have kept me grounded, even on the hardest days.
I’ve also been blessed with incredible mentors and supporters. My spiritual covering, has been a source of encouragement and guidance, helping me grow in my faith and prophetic calling.
My clients and community deserve so much credit, too. Their trust in my vision and their willingness to share their stories with me have inspired me to keep going. Every woman I’ve served, whether through beauty services, coaching, or ministry, has played a role in shaping my work.
Lastly, I have to acknowledge my cheerleaders friends, family, and even strangers who’ve shown up to support me, whether by sharing a post, booking a service, or simply speaking life into my dreams. Their belief in me has been a constant reminder that I’m on the right path, and I’m forever grateful for their impact on my journey.
