Today we’d like to introduce you to Lan Nhi Nguyen
Hi Lan Nhi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a first-generation American, born to Vietnamese parents who came to this country in search of a better life. My childhood was anything but easy. I watched my mom navigate the challenges of being a single mother, working tirelessly to keep us afloat. Despite her sacrifices, we faced hardships that led us to live in women’s shelters at times. Those experiences taught me resilience and the importance of perseverance at a young age.
Life took another unexpected turn when I became pregnant as a teenager. While that season of life was challenging, it also gave me a purpose and drive that I hadn’t tapped into before. Determined to build a better future for my child, I pursued a career in healthcare, starting as a medical assistant and eventually becoming a nurse. Working in outpatient facilities and hospitals allowed me to care for others and witness firsthand the impact that compassionate care can have.
Over time, my passion for helping people evolved. I was drawn to aesthetics, where I found a deeper connection between confidence and self-care. Like many, I’ve had my own insecurities, and I loved that I could help others feel more comfortable and beautiful in their own skin through the art of injectables. Today, as an aesthetic injector, I am grateful that my journey — filled with struggles, growth, and resilience — has led me to a career where I can empower others to feel their best.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I grew up in a household marked by domestic violence and financial hardship. When I became a teen mom, many doubted my ability to succeed, and there were times when I doubted myself too.
I struggled with insecurities and often felt isolated in my journey. There were moments when the weight of it all seemed unbearable, but I refused to let my circumstances define me. As my mother fell ill and suffered a stroke, I became her primary caregiver, which only deepened my passion to become a better caretaker.
Through it all, I leaned on my faith in God, drew strength from the love I have for my daughter, and stayed focused on my purpose. These anchors gave me the courage to persevere, push past the doubt, and create a better life for us. Each challenge I faced further fueled my determination to help others, leading me to where I am today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As an aesthetic nurse injector, my passion lies in helping people feel more confident in their own skin. By blending my love for both medicine and aesthetics, I specialize in helping clients age gracefully through injectables, including neurotoxins, biostimulators, PDO threads, and dermal fillers.
I’m known for my attention to detail in facial balancing and creating natural harmony that aligns with each patient’s unique goals. I take pride in building relationships that go beyond the treatment itself. With a soft touch and a knack for making people laugh, I create a comfortable and positive experience, ensuring my clients feel cared for inside and out.
How do you define success?
Success, to me, is leaving the world a better place by making a positive impact on others. It’s about lifting people up, making them feel better, and helping them see the beauty and potential within themselves. Success isn’t just about personal achievements; it’s about contributing to the well-being of others, whether through kindness, support, or inspiring confidence. When we make a difference in someone’s life, we create a ripple effect that lasts far beyond our individual actions.
