Check Out Lauryn Lamb’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauryn Lamb.

Lauryn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I fell in love with event planning when I would help my MANY family members plan their weddings all over Texas. The creativity drew me in and I started putting together my sibling’s birthday parties and school events. In 2018 I got married to my husband, Owen, and I began working for a venue/catering company in North Carolina. We moved to OKC in 2019 and I worked for another venue as well as in apartment management. 2020 hit and so did COVID, forcing me to work from home but I soon realized I loved the freedom it gave me. I found out that I was pregnant in May of 2020 and that solidified it for me. Once I had my daughter the beginning of 2021, I threw myself fully into event planning and trying to get my business off of the ground. In my first year, I have booked over 75 events, been featured in NTX Wedding Magazine, and am now a featured vendor for Brides of Oklahoma! I cannot wait to see all that 2022 holds and how I can better define myself as a designer.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Trying to find a good home/ life balance has been interesting. I love being able to stay home with my daughter but also working from home has its own challenges! Luckily, I have a very strong support system.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do anything from day-of coordination, month of coordination, and full or partial plans. I am known for creating with bright pallets and working with every budget! I specialize in weddings but love all events! No matter your price point, I believe that every couple should have a memorable and stunning wedding day. I am most proud of some of my upcoming projects; stay tuned!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I loved putting on shows and tea parties for my family (I’ve always been a fan of theatrics and planning).
