Today we’d like to introduce you to Lazina Bookman.
Hi Lazina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hearted By Myra was founded due to the passing of my late sister Myra Bookman Brown who passed away do to having a bad heart. Myra’s passion for loving people ran very deep she was one they didn’t really like hand shaking she loved to greet people with hugs to show love at all times. I wanted to do something to keep my sister’s memory alive and couldn’t think of anything better than showing love to any and everyone. Hearted By Myra launched in October 2022 so we are fairly new. We have been a part of some wonderful events we specialize in sharing love we show up to any event big or small to share love we deliver balloons, flowers, candies, teddy bears pretty much anything per customers’ request. Our mission is to let the world know that in spite of your situation love does exist. And we don’t mind sharing it one heart at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wouldn’t say it’s been smooth cause starting a business requires hard work and dedication. It’s very challenging especially when you just step out on faith not knowing what you’re doing. The struggle of getting the finances to fund your small business is difficult.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I deliver hearts one at a time to let people know that they are loved rather it’s planned or spare of the moment. I’m most proud of putting smiles on people’s faces when I show up and keeping my sister memory alive. The thing that sets me apart from others is the meaning and the purpose of my business love isn’t something that’s easy to come by in the world we live in today.
