Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Makeup peaked my interest in high school and started as a hobby amongst the cheerleading squad I was a part of. I loved experimenting with different looks for performances and events. By the end of high school, I was adamant about pursuing a career in beauty, so I attended cosmetology school to gain a solid foundation. After that, I was fortunate enough to land a role at MAC Cosmetics, where I received all of my professional training and artistry certification. Working at MAC allowed me to refine my skills and truly develop my artistry. In 2018, I decided to step away from MAC to pursue my own dreams and started my own company Glam Time Bridal, offering hair and makeup services for special occasions. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m so passionate about helping clients feel confident and beautiful on their special days.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has certainly not been an easy road. I’ve faced many ups and downs, from overbooking myself at times to not having enough clients during other periods. One of the biggest challenges was having to move my makeup studio three times in just two years, which was a huge adjustment. Despite these struggles, I’ve experienced a lot of growing pains that have shaped me and my business. I wouldn’t trade those experiences for the world, though, because I’ve learned so much from each challenge. Through it all, my passion for providing quality services and building excellent customer relationships has only grown stronger.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I own *Glam Time Bridal*, a team of artists who specialize in providing hair and makeup services for weddings and special occasions. My focus is on creating a luxury bridal experience, ensuring that every detail, from skin prep to the final look, is handled with the utmost care and precision. What sets us apart is our commitment to quality, attention to detail, and the personalized approach we take with each client to ensure they feel their absolute best on their special day.
What I’m most proud of is building a solid team of talented artists over the course of my career. Through all the ups and downs, being able to mentor and pour into the other artists who assist me has been incredibly rewarding. It’s been amazing to see our team grow and thrive together, and I’m really proud of the strong, supportive environment we’ve created at *Glam Time Bridal*.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My amazing clients deserve so much credit for my journey and the success of my business. They have supported me from the very beginning, when I first left the MAC counter and was servicing clients at the island of my apartment. Their trust and loyalty have been invaluable in helping me grow. Thanks to their continued support, I was able to invest in my very own beauty studio and take my business to the next level. I truly wouldn’t have had the opportunity to see my dreams fulfilled without them. I am forever grateful to each one of them for believing in me and my work.
