Check Out Leittia Leonard’s Story

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Leittia Leonard again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Leittia, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
My name is Leittia Leonard and I am the founder of Authenticity Movement, a space that is dedicated to embodied healing. Authenticity Movement provides an array of mindfulness meditation services as well as sound healing. Authenticity Movement is deeply rooted in the belief that the practice of mindfulness offers us all a path back home to our authentic selves. We also believe that healing is less about transforming into someone new and more about remembering who you already are. In this space, individual and collective liberation are the focus. All are seen, felt and heard.

To be mindful is to be fully present in the present moment, awake and aware to the truth of what is, infused with love and in the service of liberation. Healing begins with our own individual liberation. Healing is not linear, and my experience has been no different from anyone else’s experience. There have been twists and turns, ups and downs, however the practice of mindfulness has created space in my internal reservoir of compassion and love for myself, particularly when I may not have shown up in the moment as I intended. I have been practicing mindfulness meditation for about 14 years and in 2019, I completed my mindfulness teacher certification. My daughter A’Mya is the face of our brand and the beautiful catalyst for my exploration into my own healing. I understood early on that if I am not well, she will not be well, so I wanted to ensure that I was the mother that she needed me to be from moment to moment. Without my daughter, there would be no Authenticity Movement. She is Authenticity Movement.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Since our last conversation I married to the most amazing Man, my husband Charles who has now partnered with me in this business of healing. We both have a love for music and sound in any form, so he has stepped in as a co- creator of the sound healing services that Authenticity Movement provides. In the last few years, Authenticity Movement has been fortunate to provide mindfulness and sound healing services for school districts, businesses and outreach organizations in Dallas, Fort Worth and the surrounding areas. Over the past 3 years, I have also had the privilege of serving as a guest mindfulness teacher in the Mindfulness Teacher Certification training offered by the Dallas Yoga Center.
If you google Authenticity Movement right now, you will notice that the google search result says ‘Mobile’ Mindfulness Mediation. From inception we have strived to meet people where they were, meaning we will come to you as we don’t have a traditional brick and mortar business. One of the services we provide is in home mindfulness mediation and sound healing. We are doing the work to have a mobile meditation bus in the next few years so that we can truly stand and deliver on one of the founding goals of the ‘movement’ which is to make mindfulness truly accessible to all.
