Check Out Mary Briones’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Briones with WiselyWelded permanent jewelry

Hi Mary, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I started WiselyWelded first because I couldn’t find anyone local to fix one of my previous bracelets that had been cut off when I was delivering my baby girl. I put it in my wallet and waited to see if there would be a local popup. I thought, why don’t I start a permanent jewelry business. I work a full-time Monday- Friday job and I’m a brand-new mom. Who was I kidding? I didn’t have time. But my husband pushed me to start WiselyWelded, and I have loved every minute since. Second, I started WiselyWelded because daycare cost is NO joke. I just had no idea how much I would truly love getting to meet everyone and be part of their experience that now the money part of it is cool… but even cooler is meeting you guys and welding on a piece of jewelry that is now part of your story!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Prior to launching WiselyWelded, I ordered from a ton of different wholesalers trying to find the perfect chains for our customers. Finally, I have found someone with good products and durable… but now stuff is out of stock. That has been the most significant obstacle so far. WiselyWelded is so fortunate that we have received such a great response and are almost booked every weekend until the end of the year. We cannot wait to get everyone welded.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I started WiselyWelded permanent jewelry because as a new mom I wanted something to make day-to-day life a little bit easier. The idea of jewelry without a clasp is genius. I don’t have to take it off to shower, work out, change dirty diapers, etc. The chains can dress up or down any outfit. I have enjoyed watching customers bring their best friends, moms, and daughters to get matching permanent jewelry. As the owner, I strive to make the whole process from start to finish an experience. I am most proud of just taking a leap into something new. There wasn’t really any permanent jewelry in the area I am in, and thankfully I have had an amazing response. WiselyWelded is almost booked every weekend until the end of the year, what a blessing! I think what sets WiselyWelded apart from others is pricing number one but also that I want it to be a whole experience. I really take the time to make sure the fit of the jewelry is what the customer wants, the style, and just overall, the customer is leaving happy!

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy? What a question. The most important thing and what brings me happiness is my family. I am fortunate to have a loving and supportive husband who pushes me to do things I love. I have two amazing kids who I want to provide the absolute best life for. That is what makes me happy. Seeing my customers come with their best friend or mom brings me so much joy. WiselyWelded gets to be part of their story, it is so cool!
