Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Ard.
Hi Megan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I’ve always loved baking, but I stuck to simple things like cookies and cupcakes. 5 years ago, my little girl requested a unicorn cake for her 3rd birthday. After watching some tutorials, I felt confident that I could give her exactly that. I received so many compliments on it which, of course made me so happy, so I thought I would start offering to do cakes for family and friends. Over time and through referrals from sweet clients, I began taking on bigger projects and more detailed cakes like weddings! Baking cake is my therapy but also, but I love to see how happy it can make someone see their vision come to life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Everything comes with challenges! I live a busy life. I have 4 kiddos, 2 of which are in sports. My life is a beautiful, chaotic mess. So, finding a balance to be able to take on baking and giving me enough time to put together a cake is hard sometimes, but I make it work.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
Specialty cakes are my Forte. I love having creative freedom and putting together something unique and beautiful. I love that I have created this small business and people truly enjoy my cakes. I have clients who have ordered consistently for years for birthdays/graduations etc. I am so blessed to have the support I have from my clients.

Going to Costa Rica every summer as a kid and learning to surf.
