Check Out Miaschanycia Wiggins’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miaschanycia Wiggins

Hi Miaschanycia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a storyteller, poet, and creative visionary who understands the pain of being misunderstood and the resilience required to rise above dysfunction. From designing doll clothes at age 4 to writing 30-page short stories by age 6, creativity has always been my outlet and lifeline. As a proud graduate of the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas’s Arts District, I discovered my gift for writing and love for music early on, which propelled me to pursue a life in entertainment.

I took a leap of faith and moved to California with nothing but belief in my talent. That faith opened doors, allowing me to score in the top 4% internationally for prestigious writing competitions like NBC’s Writers on the Verge. My creative journey includes screen time in films and series on Netflix and Amazon Prime, working as a PA at Warner Brothers Studios, and auditioning with celebrated directors like Patrick Baca. I’ve served as an ambassador for The Chosen series, created inspiring content for PBS, and hosted a globally streamed podcast for Radio One Dallas, where I aimed to uplift and encourage others with authenticity and transparency.

While I’ve faced industry disappointments and moments of uncertainty, my faith has been my anchor. God called me to share my testimony through my art, and it has transformed my path. I challenge myself daily to live out my faith, embracing every opportunity to inspire others with my writing and creative endeavors. My journey, shaped by determination, creativity, and a profound belief in the power of transformation and purpose, serves as a beacon of hope for those navigating life’s challenges—especially those who feel like black sheep. Through faith and a heart for change, I believe that becoming who you’ve always envisioned yourself to be is not just possible but inevitable with unwavering faith.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The challenges I’ve faced on my journey have been some of the most painful and transformative experiences of my life. Dealing with constant doubt and a lack of support, I often felt like I was walking a lonely road with no one to turn to. I’ve been stolen from, mocked, abused, and belittled—sometimes by strangers but, more heartbreakingly, by those I loved the most. The very people I would have done anything for inflicted the deepest wounds, and it often felt like I was carrying an invisible target on my back, marked for pain and betrayal.

The hardest part wasn’t just enduring the hurt—it was making the conscious decision not to let it define me. I had to fight daily to resist becoming like the ones who hurt me, even when bitterness and anger seemed like the easier path. It would have been simple to harden my heart and give in to the cynicism that comes with constant betrayal, but I knew that doing so would mean losing a part of myself that I refuse to let the world take away.

Through all the loneliness and heartbreak, the true challenge was to not allow life’s hardships to turn me into a victim. I chose instead to learn, grow, and rise. Every betrayal taught me resilience; every belittling word reminded me of my own worth, even when others failed to see it. Every lonely night pushed me closer to discovering my own strength, and every hurtful action reinforced my determination to remain kind, compassionate, and true to who I am.

It hasn’t been easy. There were moments when I questioned everything—my purpose, my value, even my faith. But in those moments, I found clarity: I am not what happened to me. I am who I choose to become. I choose grace over bitterness, strength over victimhood, and love over fear. My journey is proof that even when life seems to conspire against you, you can rise above it all with faith, resilience, and an unshakable belief in your own power to overcome.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

How do you think about happiness?
Giving to others and expressing myself through my creativity has become one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life. There’s a unique kind of joy that comes from knowing that something I’ve created—a piece of art, a story, a word of encouragement—can touch someone’s life in a meaningful way. For me, creativity isn’t just a form of self-expression; it’s a way to connect, to inspire, and to leave a positive mark on the world. When I pour my heart into my work and see it resonate with others—whether it brings them hope, joy, or simply a moment of relief—it fills me with a deep sense of purpose. It reminds me that my struggles, my experiences, and even my pain weren’t in vain; they’ve shaped my ability to create and give back in a way that matters.
Giving to others through my creativity feels like a celebration of resilience and love. It’s my way of turning life’s challenges into something beautiful and impactful, something that reminds others they’re not alone. That sense of fulfillment, of knowing that my gifts can lift others up, is what fuels me to keep going, even on the hardest days. It’s not just about creating—it’s about contributing to the well-being and happiness of those around me, and that brings me a joy that’s truly unmatched.
