Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathaly Sanchez.
Hi Nathaly, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Hello, my name is Nathaly Sanchez, I am 20yrs old. I was born in El Salvador and raised in Irving Tx. I am also the first girl out of my family and the first generation to be raised in the US. Being the first generation to be raised here and having the opportunity to be a part of the DACA program has pushed me to always be better for myself and my family. It has motivated me to be an independent, hardworking and intelligent young woman with big goals.
When I was a little girl I would always want to be on TV, modeling or doing pageants and influence other young women. It all started after I graduated high school with my 19th birthday shoot. When I and the photographer posted my pictures on social media I didn’t expect to connect with many people. After that post, I then received many DMs, and messages from photographers, and companies asking me to work with them.
At first, I did not know what I was doing but I gave it my all and throughout the process, I learned many poses, skills, and more. Eventually, I fell in love with doing it and I decided that I wanted to represent my city in pageants. My first pageant was here in Irving Tx where I was able to represent my home country El Salvador. Then I decided to do another pageant to represent Irving Tx, that took place in Houston Tx. Immediately after doing these pageants, I knew that I wanted to grow in my modeling career.
My next big event was the 2022 LA Fashion Show where I was able to walk the red carpet. Many more opportunities came along and eventually I was asked to be in music videos, events, and modeling gigs. This all happened in a year and has helped me gain a lot of knowledge that now I am in the process of getting my real estate license. My goal is to keep growing and learning and soon be able to help young women with the same goals. I want to thank my photographers, family, friends and specially my parents and sister for always supporting me and making my dreams come true.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not been easy at all. Starting with me being undocumented and only having DACA has limited me to many things. There have been times when I had to turn down modeling gigs or events due to not being able to travel outside of the US. I’ve faced many more struggles but I’ve learned to accept that everything happens for a reason and eventually everything will fall into place.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in the Modeling/Content Creator industry. I am known for pageants, modeling gigs, sponsorships, and soon real estate. My proudest moment was when I had the opportunity to walk my first red carpet at the age of 19yrs old. What sets me apart from others will be my story, generosity, and happiness.
How do you define success?
Success can be defined in many ways, but to me, it is when effort and motivation are used to accomplish your goal. It’s an extraordinary feeling to know that your hard work and determination allowed you to accomplish what you’ve always wanted.
