Check Out Racheal Claxton’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Racheal Claxton.

Hi Racheal, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hey guys there is a cool breeze coming in from Memphis to Texas and her name is Racheal-NeAnna. In 2014 I decided to go natural. I was one of the first to do this in my family to go natural so I did not have any help or influence. As I was going natural, my hair became extremely dry and brittle, I did not see much growth. I also had a hard time finding a line of products that works for my hair. After a year of buying products, I spent over $500.00 on products I never used. At the time I was a freshman in college so I did not have money to keep wasting on products that did not work. In 2015 I started researching my hair types and different ingredients that will help with my dry and brittle hair. Months later I created the perfect formula for my hair! After using my products, I saw a major difference in my hair texture and I saw rapid hair growth. People on campus started noticing as well and became very interested in my products. I started selling my products from my dorm room. In 2017 I gave birth to a baby boy who has very sensitive skin. I tried everything and nothing seemed to moisturize his skin without irritating it. So, I started my research and created a body butter and body wash that helped moisturized his skin. In 2020 I officially launched Nappae Hair and skin products! My business flourished even during the pandemic!!

My products are made with all-natural ingredients and formulated for all hair and skin types.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
One obstacle I had was creating the perfect formula. Because I make everything from scratch I went through countless recipes and formulas. Some products took me over six months to create. Another obstacle I had was believing in myself. It took me over 4 years to build the confidence to Launch my business and sell to the public.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My burning passion is to help others. This passion has been embedded in me since childhood. As a child, I helped take care of my young sibling, and now I am helping take care of my elderly grandfather. Also, I created an organization that helped a multitude of women graduate from college with children. After giving birth to my son, I realized that the college I was attending had an organization for everything except mothers who were students. So, I took it among myself to create an organization that would cater to that population.
