Hi Rachel & Danny , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We’re Danny and Rachel, the husband-and-wife team behind Forget Me Not Pictures. After nearly 20 years of freelancing separately, we decided to build something together when we got married. With the support of BRAVE/R Together, we officially formed our LLC in 2023. Soon after, we became members of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, which opened many doors for us and helped us connect with the local business community in a meaningful way.
At the beginning of 2025, we took the big leap and went full-time with our business, supported by the TCU Venture Builder Program. This year, we also joined The LaunchBox Collective as our studio and coworking space, which has given us a professional home base and an inspiring creative environment to grow in. Since going full-time, Forget Me Not Pictures has grown tremendously. We’ve expanded our wedding photography and videography services, strengthened our partnerships, and become more rooted in the community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most small business journeys, it definitely hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road. Some of our biggest challenges have been learning how to operate as small business owners for the first time — figuring out how to find our customer base, teaching ourselves marketing, and learning how to keep proper books. We’ve also had to navigate how to stay relevant in an ever-changing market, especially when it comes to consistently utilizing social media and creating content.
But each challenge has pushed us to grow. Through mentorship programs like SCORE and the TCU Venture Builder Program, along with a lot of trial and error, we’ve built systems that work for us. And every step has helped us become stronger, more confident business owners.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Forget Me Not Pictures is a husband-and-wife photography, videography, and content-creation team. We specialize primarily in weddings — helping couples capture their day in a way that feels natural, emotional, and true to them. We also offer a modern, high-quality photo booth that has become a favorite at weddings and events, giving guests a fun way to capture memories and giving our clients an extra layer of value.
Alongside weddings, we work closely with small businesses, offering headshots, venue photography, product visuals, and content creation to support their marketing needs.
We’re incredibly proud of how fast we’ve grown since going full-time in March of 2025. This year alone, we’ve seen a significant increase in the number of events we shoot and a major jump in our social media engagement and following. That growth has been both exciting and validating.
What truly sets us apart is the way we care for our clients and their families. We’re known for showing up with empathy, warmth, and genuine connection — and for treating every event as if it were our own. As a married team, clients don’t just get one creative perspective but two. What Rachel notices and captures may be different from what Danny sees, and together those viewpoints tell a fuller, more dynamic story.
And whether it’s a tight wedding timeline, a large event, or a brand project, having two photographers working seamlessly together — plus the ability to add our photo booth — makes everything smoother, more efficient, and more fun for everyone involved.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
We definitely feel lucky in the sense that we’ve crossed paths with some incredible organizations — BRAVE/R Together, the TCU Venture Builder Program, SCORE, and The Launchbox Collective. Each has provided us with mentorship, business resources, and a supportive community that has helped shape our growth. Being surrounded by other business owners, whether they’re at the same stage as us or further along, has been inspiring and motivating. That sense of community has felt like good fortune.
At the same time, we don’t credit everything to luck. We’ve put in a lot of hard work, long nights, and constant learning to build Forget Me Not Pictures into what it is today. We believe luck opens the door, but effort is what walks you through it — and the results we’re seeing now are a combination of both.
