Today we’d like to introduce you to Rasik Kaiser.

Rasik Kaiser

Rasik, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Three years ago, I was a software engineering student finishing up my computer science degree. During my last semester in 2021, I started creating content for fun, mostly featuring my cats. But soon, I realized I didn’t want to be confined to a niche. My interests were too varied—cats, cars, coffee, gym, self-care, cleaning, travel, and more—so I decided to combine them all. I set a goal to hit 100k followers within two months before starting my full-time job, posting once a day to maximize the chances of going viral. I reached my goal right before my first day of work and replicated the same plan on Instagram, hitting 100k there too.

I continued juggling my job as a software engineer and my passion for content creation. Eventually, I chose to pursue content creation full-time. It’s been a journey of continuous learning and adaptation, and now, three years later, I work with some incredible brands, share my routines, and build a community around things I love. I run my own business, managing everything from ideation to editing. The goal remains the same: to keep creating content that makes me happy and resonates with people, while constantly evolving and growing.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been smooth. Content creation is unpredictable, and there are days when I struggle with mental health, especially when the numbers fluctuate, or I hit creative ruts. The industry itself is fickle—the highs are exhilarating, but the lows can be really tough. I’ve had to work on being proactive rather than reactive, seeking out therapy, journaling, and finding ways to keep my head straight.

Another challenge was choosing a different path than the one my family had in mind for me. They envisioned a traditional career like a doctor or engineer, and there was a lot of pressure to fit into that mold. But I felt called to pursue something I was truly passionate about, even if it meant going against the grain.

Lastly, the perfectionist in me makes it hard to let go of projects. I aim for quality over quantity, which means my process can be time-consuming. But this approach has helped me stay true to my vision and principles, ensuring that the content I share is something I’m proud of.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a content creator and entrepreneur who wears many hats. I create videos about everything that focuses on productive routines, lifestyle, and wellness. From self-care routines, gym workouts, and cooking, to travel, cars, and cats. I aim to bring authenticity and a bit of humor to my content, sharing things that make me happy and hoping they resonate with others. My approach is about consistent growth—1% better every day—focusing on small wins that add up over time.

What sets me apart is my versatility. I refuse to be put in a box, and I think that’s why my content connects with a wide audience. I’m proud of the brands I’ve worked with and the community I’ve built. I’m also grateful to have maintained my principles, only taking on partnerships that align with my vision, even when the offers are tempting.

Another thing that sets me apart is my transparency. I openly share my struggles, whether it’s about mental health, balancing work, or trying to improve my routines. I believe in progression over perfection, and I hope to inspire others to keep moving forward, no matter how slow it may feel.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people don’t know that, before I became a content creator, I was actually on a path to becoming a dermatologist. My parents had always encouraged traditional careers, and they even sent me back to the motherland (Pakistan) to study medicine. Although I didn’t end up pursuing that path, my interest in skincare and self-care routines probably stems from those early ambitions. It was a big shift to move from a field like dermatology to software engineering and then to content creation, but I’ve found a way to blend my love for self-care with my content, sharing tips and routines that help people take care of themselves in a different way.

It might seem like a big leap, but at the core, it’s still about helping people feel their best. And while I may not be diagnosing skin conditions, I hope my content brings comfort, joy, and practical tips to my audience.

Another surprising fact is that, despite being in the public eye, I’ve grown more introverted over time and am actively working to reconnect with my original extroverted self. People often say I sound like a finance bro, even though I was a tech bro at one point. I enjoy creating content, but it’s taken a lot of mental work to push myself out of my new comfort zone. And while I may joke about being the “Prince of Dallas” in my videos, the truth is, I’m just constantly trying to improve myself and make my family proud.
