Check Out Rich Hyde’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rich Hyde.

Hi Rich, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I went to law school because I couldn’t stomach the thought of living in a world governed by rules that I didn’t understand. Also, ive always been driven my an innate sense of fairness. Legal practice seemed to be a good fit. When I got out of law school, I bounced around several small firms, doing everything from debt collection to oil and gas royalties litigation. In 2019, while working for a mid-sized commercial litigation firm, another associate was pushing limits with me and I threatened to kick his ass. I was promptly fired and it was a hard time finding a big firm gig after that. The only one who was take me was a small personal injury firm. There, by accident, I found my calling. I’m among the best in the metroplex. That’s not humble, I know; but I don’t care. It’s true. I started my own firm in 2023, and I remain in pursuit of greatness. I love beating bad guys for a living.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course not. Do you know what it’s like working for over half of a decade, and to wake up only to find you can’t afford a home and that law school student loan that you’ve been making payments on every month is nearly as big as it was when you graduated five years earlier. Then, you finally make a little money to smile about, and you almost immediately put it all on a gamble you place on yourself starting your own law firm. That kind of thing keeps you up at night. Then you learn about the day to day of running a business—bookkeeping, keeping your marketing pipeline full, and staffing. But if you’re good at this, it’s absolutely worth it. Now I’m wealthy. Would never have been had I played it safe.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Big companies hurt people. When they do, I sue them. Insurance companies do not pay injury victims fairly. When they don’t file lawsuits that force them to pay fairly.

The government doesn’t regulate bad behavior and it doesn’t take care of people when they are maimed by the negligence of others. People like me—“ambulance chasers,” as we’re often referred—are who keep things safe and who make things right for those when dangers cause harm.

I believe the bullies of the world and I love it.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Look; to be honest; credit goes about 90% me and 10% to my staff. But it’s still a young organization, and training has dominated the past couple of years. I’m expecting that ratio to flip by 2030 at the latest. One particular teammate that’s been instrumental is my right hand man, Anderson Servat, who is currently in law school and will be sitting for the bar next year. He is a rockstar and will serve as ahead of operations at my firm once he graduates.
