Check Out Ron Clemons’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ron Clemons. He shares his story with us below:

Ron Clemons is new to film on the directing side in Dallas, TX, He is a SAG Eligible actor as well as a professional model. He has been speaking and mentoring for over 15 years. To date, he has produced, written,  and directed 5 short films and Two Animation films (One on a film festival run and the other in production). One of his short films “Remember Tomorrow” is now streaming on Tubi. He will soon move on to Feature Films as he looks to continue to improve and learn more with short films as he looks to direct films that will directly connect to everyday hard-working people, save lives and leave a lasting impact in the world.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This definitely has not been a smooth road as I went in learning, each film presented different challenges and learning lessons for which I am gratefulto have endured.  The lessons taught me so much about producing, writing, and directing by jumping right into the fire from losing actors/locations near the shooting date just to name a few. I have learned so much but what has helped me is being prepared and having a backup plan for every aspect of the production side but as much as I can be prepared there are times when things happen, I was able to make adjustments and new preparations as I filmed.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I recently started writing animation films. I noticed that at film festivals there were not a lot of animated films being shown. I always loved cartoons when I was a child and still watch them today to this day, which made it easy for me to brainstorm and write animations. It has been a challenge because animations are extremely detailed, but I am always up for a new challenge.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the most important things I have learned is to be patient and not rush any scripts that I currently have written. I have some scripts that were written a few years ago and now that I have gotten better at writing I see a lot of mistakes in those scripts which helps me grow more as a writer. I am glad that I put those scripts to the side only to come back and see where I started from and how I can improve past scripts to be written better than before.
