Check Out Sara Vincent’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Vincent.

Hi Sara, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been an outgoing, fun-loving woman who strives to constantly improve and do new things. I grew up with my older brother playing sports. I was constantly pushed harder than the other girls because I was surrounded by him and his friends. You had to be stronger and more mentally tough to earn their respect. I have taken that mentality with me through life. I’m only a couple of chapters into my novel of life, but my current chapter has been an exciting and new experience. Being part of FOX’s new reality TV show, Farmer Wants a Wife, has taught me even more about myself that I never knew possible… and I may have even gotten a husband out of it… tune in every Wednesday at 9/8c or catch up on Hulu to find out!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’m a city girl with a sports background and a country heart, so I felt confident going into this world and being able to put my best foot forward for the chance to find love. I’m used to competing, but not against other women for a man, so it was challenging to find the balance of trying to get to know him while also being respectful of the other women on the ranch. I have never been in love and I’m not the best at communicating my emotions, so having to do all of this while people are watching and forming their own opinions of you can be challenging as well. Oh, and having to shovel horse poo while trying to impress a man was never on my checklist, but hey… the things we do for love. If life was smooth, we would be missing out on the necessary learning curves required for growth and success, so I’ve encountered bumps and bruises that have led me to where I am today, and I am grateful for them all. Saying yes to going on a reality television show was a huge leap for me – but I would rather regret doing something than the unknown of what could have been.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I graduated from Penn State University with my degree in strategic communications and marketing and plan to pursue a career in sports marketing. I also help my family run their restaurant and bar, Macallans Public House, when I can.

What matters most to you?
I come across very extroverted, but deep down, I push through anxiety every day to expel a strong confident woman, so for me happiness is the peace I get when I can be myself. Happiness for me is sitting on the couch with loved ones on Sunday after a long week watching football and screaming at the top of our lungs for our favorite team, or going to your favorite artists’ concert and letting your mind be free of whatever stresses you have. To be happy is to be appreciated and loved with no strings attached.
