Check Out Serenity Carter’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Serenity Carter.

Hi Serenity, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started making sourdough for my fiancé, after taking it to work his co-workers showed interest in purchasing loaves from me.

From there I started to slowly attend markets in the Fort Worth area, I received such a positive response to our bread that I started to expend into all things sourdough + churning our own butter. This separated us from the other competition and allowed us to expand!

I was able to quit my corporate job and focus on my passion in the kitchen!
I now bake daily and give each item all of my heart !

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With sourdough being sort of trendy now it made it slightly harder to get into some markets and to gain traction quickly

Determination and consistency in areas of the metroplex where sourdough was not so saturated was the key!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Besides baking I also work as a teaching assistant at a local Bible school for littles under 2, this is such a fulfilling role in my life and allows me to connects with babies on a spiritual level and watch their little minds grow and learn each day!

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
My favorite books are written by Laurie Gilmore and all things Nicholas Sparks

I try not to spend too much time on social media/apps.

My favorite podcast is called what we said
