Check Out Serge Golota’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Serge Golota.

Hi Serge, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started doing content creation in early 2018 on YouTube. I would film weekly vlogs, but it got incredibly tiring to put out high-quality content so frequently. I started a TikTok in November of 2020 and wanted to focus on doing restaurant reviews that are honest and unbiased. I also rebranded and tried thinking of a cool username/brand that I can see being catchy and matching my personality. I gained some traction in December that same year with a viral video of a place called Wake N Bakery in Lakeview. Ever since then, I have been consistently putting out content on Instagram, YouTube (both short and long-form content), and TikTok.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t honestly been smooth; the exact opposite. There have been time periods where I felt like it wasn’t really going anywhere, and I was contemplating doing something else. It is a lot about the mentality of how you approach what you want to do. Ultimately, I felt the passion in what I’m doing to keep going.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I currently work in Corporate America as my full-time job. It pays for what I want to do and helps me have financial stability. I feel the work environment there is very friendly and allows me to talk to people in a positive way. I am proud of always helping my team and being there for when things need to get done. My organizational skills and determination help me push through any task with minimal stress, even when the answer is not always clear.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I want to make a career shift into Medical Device Sales, hoping to become Manager in Sales within the next 8-9 years.
