Check Out Sharlenne Vasquez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharlenne Vasquez.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born in Dominican Republic and then moved to New Jersey at a young age, living in a home where work ethic wasn’t optional — it was important to get ahead. I took a lot of pride in academics and helping my parents with their business.

Eventually, I met my husband, who is active duty military, and we got ended up getting married and becoming parents fairly young. Military life meant starting over in new cities, pausing college, and learning to adapt.

What I didn’t pause was my ambition. I had an itch to pursue my passion.

Once I discovered the aesthetic/beauty industry I immediately fell in love. It combined everything I’m passion about: connection, confidence, transformation, and creativity.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a career while being a mom, wife, student, and constantly moving… it forced me to have a “figure it out” mentality.

I battled imposter syndrome, postpartum identity loss, and the belief that I had to choose between being a mother and being a woman with goals.

The turning point was realizing:
Motherhood didn’t dim my purpose, it truly revealed it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work in the medical aesthetic space, but at the core of what I do… I help women see themselves again. In a world where we’re constantly picking ourselves apart, I create space for women to feel understood, valued, and confident in their own skin.

What I’m known for is my ability to connect. I don’t just talk about skin — I listen to people. I hear clients say they feel seen and understood when they sit with me. I’m proud that I’ve built trust through authenticity, not pressure or some sales tactics.

What sets me apart is that I focus on the person, not just the procedure. As a mom and wife, I understand how easy it can be to get lost in those responsibilities. My goal isn’t perfect skin, my goal is confidence.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about Fort Worth is the sense of warmth and community. It feels like a big city with a small-town soul. People look you in the eye, start conversations in line at coffee shops, and genuinely support local businesses. Coming from the New Jersey/New York City area it’s very different!

There’s creativity here, but also grounding and authenticity.

What I like least is how spread out everything is that you sometimes have to drive 25 minutes for something that should be five minutes away. But even then, the sunsets on those drives make it worth it!
