Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophia Aste.
Hi Sophia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
– Moved to NY in ‘19, graduated from Marymount Manhattan College (now Northeastern) in ‘23 with a BFA in Dance, concentration Ballet & a minor in Arts Management

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
– Smooth is kind, and life isn’t kind. Kind is too subdued of a word.
– The greatest struggle is re-learning that your relationship with money is your relationship with self-worth >> it takes envisioning of a better life before it comes true and that is a very brave place to stand in when so much is out of our control.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
– I create visual souvenirs for creatives’ stories to stay alive in
– My work spans:
– dance
– movement direction
– documentary media
– culture writing
– typography & layout
– product design
– brand identity
– & web design
– My goals as a leader are to remind artists of their inherent uniqueness, ease and excellence
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
– I’ve never been to Dallas! New York & Utah I can speak to… Dallas not so much.
