Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Brown.
Hi Stacey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Opening The Studio in my hometown of Pantego is more than a dream come true — it’s a full-circle moment rooted in love, healing, and purpose.
Yoga found me at a time in life years ago when I needed it most. What started as a physical practice quickly became a pathway to clarity, resilience, and transformation. Over the years, my mat became a home — a place where I could return to myself, again and again.
After about a year of consulting with Loren Boyd, owner of The Studio Fort Worth, I began to feel a deeper pull — to bring The Studio to my roots, to give back to the very community that raised me. I envisioned a space where people of all backgrounds and bodies could feel seen, safe, and supported. A space that felt like home to everyone.
And so, The Studio Pantego was born.
Located in the heart of the town that shaped me, The Studio Pantego is more than a place to practice yoga. It’s a space for connection — to breath, to body, to each other. With light-filled room, plant-lined walls, and the hum of community energy, it’s a place where people can come to slow down, show up, and just be.
My hope is that when you walk through our doors, you feel welcomed — not just as a student, but as part of something meaningful. Whether you’re here for your first class or your hundredth, this space is for you.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like many dream ventures, it came with its fair share of challenges: navigating permits and renovations, balancing budgets, managing timelines, and riding the emotional rollercoaster of building something from the ground up. There were moments of doubt and times when things felt heavier than I anticipated.
But every obstacle gave me more clarity — about my purpose, about the kind of space I wanted to create, and about what truly matters. The struggles made the wins feel more meaningful. They reminded me to breathe, to stay grounded, and to trust the process — the same lessons yoga teaches us on the mat.
Opening this studio was not just about building a business; it was about building a community and coming home to myself. Every challenge shaped the heart of this space — and that heart is strong.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been an elementary teacher for Arlington Independent School District for 22 years. I have served as ESL Team Lead, Department Lead for ELAR, Special Education Team Lead and classroom teacher where I currently teach 5th grade ELAR and Social Studies.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is definitely going to Lake Whitney every summer with our entire family and friends. We would ski, jump from the cliffs, fish off the dock or out of the ski boat early in the mornings. I learned how to clean fish with my dad and, of course, fry them up! All the kids would catch fireflies, sit around the campfire, go to the general store- just so much fun and sweet, innocent times of life.
