Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Lopez.
Hi Stephanie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My journey in permanent makeup started in 2017 in El Paso TX. I was a full-time student at UTEP and a gas station clerk struggling to get by. One day I came across a picture on Instagram of microblading and was immediately intrigued. I started doing research and found a school in Austin TX that offered microblading certification courses. I attended the course and upon returning to El Paso I immediately began doing brows. I quit my job at the gas station and dropped out of school. Everything was going great until my business came to a sudden stop when my husband accepted a job in San Diego and I got pregnant with our third child. This was so unexpected but remained hopeful, however, the move and my pregnancy slowed my business down. I was miserable. That is until my husband was offered an opportunity to transfer back to Texas (Fort Worth this time)… After carefully weighing out our options, we decided to give DFW a shot. And let me just say, it was the best decision we made for our kids and our careers. This is where Tehana Beauty was born.
Since I moved here, I have built my clientele from the ground up, I’ve created meaningful and lifelong relationships with clients and colleagues over the past 4 years.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has been far from perfect. Adversity can certainly drive you to a dark place if you let it. Moving across country, getting pregnant, the endless anxiety about money, business, goals, imposter syndrome… the list will forever go on. If you’re a business owner, you get me.
However, through the years I’ve learned to embrace every challenge and bump on the road to try and learn from it rather than feel sorry for myself.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Cosmetic Tattoo artist & Esthetician specializing in brows and lips in Plano TX. The services I offer at Tehana Beauty include microblading, ombre, nano brows, combo brows, Lip Blush, and brow waxing. One of the things I am most proud of today is the growth I’ve seen not just within my business but also within myself. I value every single client, appointment, interaction, and experience because it has shaped me into the person I am today.
One thing that sets me apart from others is my ability to customize each set of brows according to the client’s liking, bone structure, facial features, etc. In other words, we don’t copy and paste here at Tehana Beauty.

I hope my story inspires anyone out there trying to pursue a new career, starting a new job, or learning a new skill… things may not be easy in the beginning but keep reminding yourself why you started in the first place. If I can do it, you can too!
