Check Out Steve Brodt’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Brodt.

Steve, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I first started in the event industry with my non-profit paranormal group at the age of 16. I founded the group while still in high school & we began investigating local homes & businesses. After conducting several investigations at some local historic sites, I came up with the idea to host public ghost-hunting events to help raise money for restorations. We started out small, hosting one or two events a year but the demand quickly grew. The non-profit would go on to host hundreds of events over the course of 9 years, raising thousands of dollars for various historic sites. At that time, I wanted to scale the events even larger, so I formed Haunted Nights. After 3 years of hard work & marketing we have grown our event company to a point where we now host events in over 15 states per year!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has absolutely not been a smooth road. There are many companies very similar to ours that host public ghost-hunting events at locations all across the country. We have had to establish ourselves in a way that stands out from the rest. Shortly after launching the company COVID-19 shut everything down, which was a huge obstacle for us. We managed to find alternative ways to supplement the company while the world was in lockdown. Once it was deemed safe, we resumed hosting events while following recommended safety practices.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I own & operate Haunted Nights, which is an event company that specializes in public paranormal investigations. We bring guests into some of the most haunted locations in the US. Guests who join us get the opportunity to spend 8 hours investigating various historic sites using equipment to try & detect any paranormal activity.

Our company is known for our small group sizes & affordable ticket pricing which allows guests to investigate locations they would not have the chance to otherwise. Only selling a limited number of tickets to each event it allows us to conduct “free roam” investigations. Our guests are not forced to stay in one location for any amount of time & are free to move around the building as they choose. We provide the equipment for the guests to use throughout the night & after a history tour as a group, they are free to either join our staff during the investigation or investigate on their own or with their friends!

Haunted Nights also operates a YouTube channel with over 38,000 subscribers! We film our investigations at various haunted locations across the country & post them to our channel, allowing viewers to get an inside look at some incredible locations!

I am most proud of the fact that our company is able to host events in over 15 states at some of the most well-known locations in the paranormal world, all while keeping true to our small group size & affordable ticket pricing!

What do you think about luck?
I have definitely been very fortunate with the opportunities that have been presented to me over the years that have helped me grow Haunted Nights. In October of 2020, I was featured on an episode of the very popular paranormal TV series “Destination Fear” on the TRVL Channel & Discovery+. Being featured on such a large platform helped gain a following for not only myself but Haunted Nights as well. That appearance then lead to the opportunity to work with one of the most popular paranormal YouTube channels, “Sam & Colby”. With their channel having over 8.5 million subscribers the exposure brought incredible attention to our events! Since then, we have been featured on a second episode of “Destination Fear” along with an episode of “A Haunting” both on the TRVL Channel & Discovery+.

Not only have these opportunities helped grow Haunted Nights to what it is today, but we were fortunate to become good friends with everyone involved.
