Today we’d like to introduce you to Tania.
Hi Tania, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
TLBSnapshots started as a simple love for capturing real, raw moments. What began as taking photos for family and friends slowly grew into something much bigger. Over time, I realized how much joy it brought me to freeze memories people could hold onto forever.
I invested in my craft, upgraded my equipment, practiced nonstop, and pushed myself to develop a style that felt true to me—warm, natural, and heartfelt. What really transformed my journey was the support of my community; every session, every returning client, every recommendation helped TLBSnapshots grow into the business it is today.
Now, I’m proud to serve families, couples, and individuals all over the DFW area. My goal has always been the same: to deliver images that feel genuine, emotional, and timeless. TLBSnapshots is more than just photography for me—it’s storytelling, connection, and capturing the moments people never want to forget.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been balancing motherhood with building my business. Being a mom while trying to grow TLBSnapshots meant late nights editing, squeezing sessions into tight schedules, and learning how to juggle home life with client deadlines.
There were times I felt overwhelmed or questioned whether I could keep up. Running a business while being present for my kids is not easy, but it’s also been one of my biggest motivators. Every challenge—slow seasons, learning my style, managing everything on my own—pushed me to grow stronger, stay disciplined, and keep believing in my vision.
The struggles made me more patient, more driven, and more appreciative of how far TLBSnapshots has come. I’m proud of the balance I’ve built and grateful for every client who supported me along the way.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At TLBSnapshots, I focus on capturing warm, authentic, and timeless images that feel true to each person or family I photograph. I specialize in family sessions, maternity, couples, portraits, and themed mini sessions—especially the creative, seasonal setups I’m known for. My goal with every session is to create a comfortable environment where real moments can shine through.
What I’m most proud of is the connection I build with my clients. Many of them return year after year and trust me with their biggest milestones—pregnancies, birthdays, holidays, and family portraits. Knowing that I get to freeze those memories for them is truly the heart of my work.
What sets TLBSnapshots apart is my attention to warmth and emotion. My editing style is soft, consistent, and natural, and I make sure every session feels personal, relaxed, and enjoyable. I put intention into every detail—from posing and lighting to choosing colors and creating beautiful setups—so that clients not only love their photos but also remember the experience.
At the end of the day, photography is more than just pictures for me—it’s storytelling, connection, and giving families something they’ll cherish forever.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone just starting out is to give yourself permission to grow at your own pace. When I first started, I felt pressure to have everything perfect—my equipment, my editing, my workflow. But the truth is, you learn by doing. Every session, every mistake, every new client teaches you something valuable.
I wish I knew early on that consistency matters more than perfection. Keep practicing, keep shooting, and don’t be afraid to experiment until you find your style. Invest in education when you can, but don’t compare your journey to someone else’s—social media only shows the highlight reel.
Another important thing is to value your time and your work. Set boundaries, price yourself fairly, and remember that it’s okay to say ‘no’ when something doesn’t align with your business.
Most of all, stay passionate. Photography is a craft that grows with you, and if you love it, your clients will feel that in every image.
