Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiana.
Hi Tatiana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always felt drawn to being in front of the camera — from making silly home videos as a little girl to staging fun photoshoots just for the joy of it. Fashion and makeup were my creative escape growing up, but for the longest time, I never imagined they could be more than just a hobby. I took the traditional path: I went to college, graduated with honors — I’ve always been a bit of a nerd and genuinely loved school. But no matter what I did, something kept pulling me back to creating and sharing my passions with the world.
I started right in my bedroom, filming my favorite outfits and styling my own shoots on weekends. Back then, I rarely saw anyone on TV or in magazines who looked like me — curvy, Latina — and I knew I couldn’t be the only one who felt underrepresented. So I thought: Why not be that representation for someone else? If I could inspire even one other person like me to feel confident and seen, that was enough reason to keep going.
Being the daughter of immigrant parents who built their own businesses also inspired me to dream big and build something of my own. At the end of the day, I’m really just a girl who had a vision and chose to chase it — and I hope to keep empowering others to do the same.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has been the hardest, yet most rewarding thing I’ve ever done — and it’s far from over. Along the way, I’ve discovered strength and resilience in myself that I never knew I had.
From the outside, it’s easy to look at social media and assume it’s all perfect moments, constant ‘yeses,’ and effortless success. But behind every post are countless ‘no’s, endless tears, and sleepless nights. There have been auditions where I’ve been turned away, content I poured my heart into that was lost in an instant, and days when doubt felt louder than my dreams.
I’m not the tallest girl in the room, and I’m certainly not the skinniest — and while the modeling and fashion industry has made progress, there’s still a long way to go before true inclusivity is the norm. But I refuse to let that hold me back. If someone tells me ‘no,’ that just means I’m one step closer to the person who will say ‘yes’ and see my vision.
What’s the worst that can happen? Another door closes? Then I’ll build my own. I’m determined to keep paving my own way — not just for myself, but for everyone who needs to see that their dreams are worth fighting for, no matter how tough the road gets.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I wake up feeling like the luckiest girl in the world because I love my career. I’m a model and brand ambassador who loves to create content and no two days ever look the same for me. Some days I’m on set all day shooting for a brand campaign, other days I’m creating content for my fans, or editing videos in my sweats at home.
Being a proud Latina from Nicaragua is at the heart of everything I do — it’s so important for me to bring my roots into my work. Whether I’m sharing a cherished family recipe from my ‘abuela’ or showcasing bold, empowering looks in a photoshoot, I love celebrating my culture and who I am through my content.
I never want to put myself in a box — I’m curvy, and making sure that shows up authentically in my work is non-negotiable for me. If a brand or project doesn’t align with my values or doesn’t feel real to me, I don’t hesitate to say no.
What truly sets me apart is my connection with my audience. I love hearing from them about how much they enjoy the looks I put together, or how they feel inspired to take time for themselves and live in the moment. That bond means the world to me — I share more of my real life and behind-the-scenes moments on my YouTube channel because I want people to see the person behind the photos.
At the end of the day, anyone can create content, but being genuine, relatable, and approachable is what I’m most proud of. I love what I do — and I love sharing it with others even more.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Haha — looking back now, it’s funny because I truly believe everything happens for a reason. One of my favorite childhood memories is performing for anyone who would watch — I’d sing, act, play the piano, take photos and make home videos — and my dad was always there with his camcorder, recording every moment. He’d encourage me to watch myself back so I could get comfortable in front of the camera and learn to love the process of improvement and growth.
At the time, I just thought I was having fun, but over the years, those moments helped me build a confidence that I carry with me to this day. I loved creating even then, and now I’m so grateful to have all that old footage. Whenever I watch it, I see that little girl who dreamed big and wasn’t afraid to put herself out there — and I’m so proud of the woman she’s become today.
