Check Out Taylor Kunkel’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Kunkel

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always been a creator ever since I could remember. Since I was a little girl I have always had wild dreams of owning my own flower shop, western store, my own unique little business. I have a variety of crazy ideas that I would love to do in my lifetime at some point. As a little girl I have always loved the Wild West western style, the cowgirls and cowboys, and everything being out in the country. I didn’t get the opportunity to “grow up that way” but I come from a family that has and I always valued them for that. My grandparents and great grandparents are my inspo when it comes to my country values. I currently have started my own little business with florals and I am happy to share that with you.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As for my floral business it has been fairly bump free. I got inspiration from several other florals makers like myself. I watched them for about two years before I really decided to take it on myself. The biggest challenge I find is making sure the arrangement matches the style of their weddings, personality’s, and style. It is also my most favorite part of the process. I have made several different styles and designs and I just love how they always turn out unique.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My floral business is in preservations. Most of my projects have come from weddings wanting to preserve their wedding florals. How it works is I receive their florals they want preserved and I offer several styles like letters, arches, book ends, and any other customs. I want to say I am known for the styles I create in every individual piece but I can’t speak for all my customers! (Haha) I only hope they love them as much as I do making them. I am most proud of my perseverance to continue my small business and create individual creations for my amazing clients that they will remember forever. I sure treasure mine from my wedding.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising might be that my full time job is being a land coordinator in the oil and gas industry. I also have a business degree in Marketing and Management that I hope to use more full time in the future. I also love the western industry, fashion, and style. My goal is to be inspiration with my style to others someday.
